Unfortunately the thread that had some discussion on Juco recruiting was locked before I could respond, but it looks like for 2016 TCU, Arizona St and Utah all recruited a ton of Juco's. If the answer is to grab a Juco player or two then why did those 3 teams have average to bad seasons?
Out of the Top 50 Juco players (according to 247) TCU got 4 of them, Utah 5 and ASU 6. Tennessee grabbed the next most Top 50 Juco players at 3. Their season worse than ours.
In 2015 Missouri grabbed 4 out of the Top 50 Juco players and we know what a dumpster fire that football program is.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the importance of grabbing 1 top Juco player per year (see Bama and OU), but I don't see it would have made any difference this year or who would we have grabbed anyway (specific player)?
