Well now, I'm sure you must be being genuine, but I'd rather not risk my eyes nor my ears.See it on a big ass screen with loud speakers and sit close to screen
Apologies if you did see it at IMAX. That would be a real treat.

I read that China is not showing the movie. If they do or more accurately when they do, I suspect it will be much like every other Hollywood movie. It will be edited to please that countries audience. Most of the time, America don't even bother to show the non-China or rest of the world version. The versions edited for the rest of the world I am referring are anti-China(North Korean Army Red Dawn). The rest of the world versions really hate the gay message that is super cool in America. No LGBT++++++ version of any movie gets shown to the rest of the world that pays for movies. Not sure anything in your post is accurate....but I do know the patches were definitely back....I thought it was a good movie for what it's worth.
Classic '80s action flick Top Gun is back with a sequel. But for all its soaring aerial maneuvers, the most daring stunt may be a middle finger to China, to the joy of Taiwanese audiences hitting the theaters this week, Top Gun: Maverick features a prominent shot of the Japanese and Taiwanese flags—national symbols that were scrubbed from a 2019 trailer.
I have read some follow-up about this. Turns out I was wrong. The Chinese financiers backed out due to it being too pro-American I guess. The Taiwan flag ended up back on Mav's jacket after that. In other news, John Cena sucks. He learned Cantonese for the sole purpose of apologizing to China a while back after he suggested that Taiwan was a country. Maybe Tom Cruise ain't that bad after all.Not sure anything in your post is accurate....but I do know the patches were definitely back....I thought it was a good movie for what it's worth.

But you dress your dogs up in Santa clothes?Ive watched a little more than a handful of movies in the last 20 years. when I start viewing I usually think to myself, ‘can I really stomach this garbage…?!’
What's the cost of living in Indo?Saw it yesterday in Indonesia. I thought it was pretty good. Went over well here. Some funny moments for sure!
movie was 50,000 rupiahs, or $3.50 usd , so some things cost less here, but not everything.. any tech items like a phone, laptop etc is still the same. Housing is much cheaper.. can live like a king for $350 a monthWhat's the cost of living in Indo?
That's awesome. What do you do for work there? Or do you even work?movie was 50,000 rupiahs, or $3.50 usd , so some things cost less here, but not everything.. any tech items like a phone, laptop etc is still the same. Housing is much cheaper.. can live like a king for $350 a month

I saw a movie called Superman. Dude in tights flew and shot lasers out of his eyes.Yup. My favorite was just walking into the hangar and stealing an F-14 after you just bombed the runway. Hollywood gonna Hollywood. Still a good movie.
SIgn me up. How do I work over there?movie was 50,000 rupiahs, or $3.50 usd , so some things cost less here, but not everything.. any tech items like a phone, laptop etc is still the same. Housing is much cheaper.. can live like a king for $350 a month
I'm mostly investing and trading these days, and doing some music composition as a little side hustle. Trying to resist the urge to do some computer programming again.. basically just trying to make it to retirement in a few years. That's awesome. What do you do for work there? Or do you even work?
My wife lives here.. i had been traveling here yearly, sometimes 2 times a year to see her, then after being separated for 2 years because of covid lockdowns, I was able to get a temporary stay permit to stay here.WTH do you do there? I mean why did you move there and what do you do for a living? How is the healthcare?
Difficult to do. Some expats here teach English, but otherwise, they protect the locals jobs. You might be able to find work in Bali, since that is such a tourist destination, there is a need for more western people to bridge the cultural gaps.SIgn me up. How do I work over there?

I don't know about their healthcare, but I did have a small operation done in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in 2017 that went well and was much cheaper than in the US. Awesome place to stay as well. They really built up their infrastructure and almost feels like the US there.
The dental care here in Indo is good. I had a cracked molar a couple of months ago, and got the tooth extracted for maybe $40 and then got a single tooth implant for $1000 complete. Once they put the implant in, you have to wait for the bone to heal around it, so I should be getting the tooth that screws on to the post sometime in July/August.
There are downsides.. some of the old men give you the stink eye.. you get stared at a lot, because many haven't seen a white person in real life, only in the movies. There are massive import taxes, so buying something online and having it shipped in was a big surprise.
This guy liked it. Former instructor.Everyone just glossing over the fact that maverick survived a crash at Mach 10 and just walked into a diner?
the movie was good but there was a lot of unrealistic aspects and plot holes. It was entertaining but the first one is head and shoulders better
Maybe it was just a bad camera angle? Are you sure that's her? Damn. Hard to believe but it's true.Kelly McGillis was hot in Top Gun. I can't figure out why she isn't in the sequel?

Somebody wrote the most unrealistic thing about the sequel was that a whole bunch of millennials knew every word to Great Balls Of Fire.Saw it this past weekend. Really enjoyed it, definitely awesome to see in a theater.
Goodness gracious great balls of fire…
I’d hit it.Kelly McGillis was hot in Top Gun. I can't figure out why she isn't in the sequel?

Perfect casting. How did I forget to mention, Jennifer Connelly is still hot
It’s not often one comment gets someone on my ignore list. This post (the one you replied to, not yours) achieved that feat.Shut the F’up..
We have enough of this crap..
Did not care for Tombstone?? Blasphemy!!Did not care for the movie but my favorite line was when one of the Cowboys was talking to him about why he was helping Wyatt and the cowboy said "I've got lots of friends"...and Doc said "I don't".
Did not care for Tombstone?? Blasphemy!!
Hell ya!! It was great!! The other movie Wyatt Earp came out around the same time. I like Kevin Costner but Kurt Russell was way better. Val way better than Dennis Quaid as Doc. Loved Curly Bill and Johnny Ringo as well. Ton of great lines from Tombstone. Can watch 100 times. Never gets old.I'm a slut for westerns....but that movie was total cheese. The scene when they were chasing bad guys and reached over to shake each others hand was soooo bad. BAHAHAHA!!

They are nice but damn like everything else very pricey.I liked. I have not been to a movie theatre since 2015. Wow, reclining couch like seats. Blew my mind. Wish the would’ve blasted highway to danger zone more in the movie though.

Honestly, with the price of everything else the tickets seemed cheap. $9.50They are nice but damn like everything else very pricey.
Not bad. It was like 15 or 16 bucks for me.Honestly, with the price of everything else the tickets seemed cheap. $9.50
That diner is 5 miles from my place. It's been in a ton of things. Cindy Crawford Pepsi commercial comes to mind. GREAT breakfast foodEveryone just glossing over the fact that maverick survived a crash at Mach 10 and just walked into a diner?
