Agree. ... Kilmer's famous lines:

You're the dumbest smart kid i know..

Your Dad was a no talent pussy, but at least he listened.

Awwww, Billybob gonna cry about it?
My star quarterback is dragging his leg around, because of you.
You’re thinking about Top Gun
Billy Bob Thorton was the coach in Hoosiers

I’m in disbelief that ya’ll have left out Debbie Does Dallas. ⭐️. This board is really slipping
Do you seriously not know what The Hustler is or something?!

One of the greatest movies of all time. Hell, Paul Newman won an Oscar for the sequel just because he got robbed the first time.

I think Field of Dreams has to be #1 for me.

It was pretty lacking on actual sports action but I remember my wife saying afterwards, "I can't believe you got me to watch a sports movie! I loved that!"

It also made me want to watch a baseball game, and I'm not the biggest baseball fan.

The original top ten list is horrible. We are marshall? pff.

#1 is the Sandlot. It's the movie that catches the purity of sports, specifically America's past time of baseball.

Rocky belongs up there for sure. Varsity Blues as others have mentioned.

I would put Major League in the top ten.

Well of course , but I also prefer true stories should be rated over fancy sports movies.
My opinion.

Remember the Titans
We are Marshall
Brian’s Song
Hoosiers
The Express
Rudy
My All American
Rudy for sure. Great sports movie

Moneyball was a good movie but not sure how it's over Miracle on Ice and Hoosiers? Your favorites?

My top 3 in order are Rocky, Hoosiers and Happy Gilmore. 3 not mentioned that I’d call out are Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man and The Bad News Bears. Anyone who was a kid in the 70s probably remembers The Bad News Bears fondly.

Maybe not the best sports movies, but movies i always watch if they’re on

1. The Legend of Bagger Vance
2. The greatest game over played
3. Draft Day.

John Sayles’ movies are not everyone’s cup of tea, but I really liked Eight Men Out.

Slap Shot is just timeless - still hilarious after all these years.

For best hoops movie I will go with Hoosiers and best football would be North Dallas Forty.
