well in my state it's not tough for a recreational user to end up with a felony MJ charge. There is some legislative discussion of changing the statutes to raise the bar on what is considered a felony in regards to MJ possession. IF you're buying recreational pot and get caught with the guy selling it, the odds are good you're going to get charged with a felony as well unless you rat out the other guy. I think it's always an interesting prospect that by buying pot you're possibly supporting murderous drug cartels.
The funny thing is, the only people buying pot sold by the cartels are people in ass-backwards states where marijuana is still illegal. And even then, it's mostly poor people buying that garbage. The cartels have lost huge amounts of money from marijuana legalization in the states, and they are now making meth and selling opiods to make up for it.

That's what happens when you buy coke. Almost all pot consumed in America is coming from American growers who have little to nothing to do with cartels.
Yes, sorry, add meth, coke, heroin, and other hard stuff with much higher profit margins to my list. Pot just isn't, and never was, as profitable as the harder stuff. And the stuff we grow here is far better in quality.

I think you are wrong on your perception on where most of the pot comes from in this country. There must be one helluva an illegal grow plantation somewhere supplying the thousands of tons of pot being consumed. Who runs those even IF he was grown in the U.S. Mom and Pop Johnson from Bancroft? No doubt there are some very small scale grow your own operations but by an large MOST of he pot consumed recreationaly in this country is grown by organized crime groups. They have operations encompassing multiple illegal drugs MOST of which is imported. People constantly being caught hauling a 500 lbs of pot didn't grow that in their basement under lights.
Incorrect. It has been grown in large rural areas of America for quite some time, and effectively. Ever since decriminalization and now legalization in many states (California and Colorado are perfect examples), this is now even more the case. As for illegal growing, yes, see many examples in Northern California.
Your information is about 20 years...maybe even 30, out of date. A quick Google search of where the stuff comes from will indicate that roughly 60% of all ganj consumed in America is from locally grown stuff, mostly in the top production states in the country. Roughly 40% is imported, the majority of which comes from Mexico, Canada, and Jamaica. These numbers will continue to shift as more production is allowed here in the States. In particular, if what you have is potent and high quality, it probably came from here.

True story...my parents were as religious as they come, and I am not kidding, at all, my father wakes at 5 daily (he's retired) so he can read the bible and pray for an hour.....my mom was the same....my mom got cancer, bad, hit her upside the head and took her fast....towards the end she admitted she wished she had some pot to smoke. So I decided right then and there I wasn't going to wait till I had cancer, OK, that part was made up.
