OT- DC commercial plane and Blackhawk collide

Odd they haven’t/wont released the female pilots name
Women should not really be allowed to pilot aircraft in the first place.. (I know, label me a misogynist) but it does human society no good to feed women all these lies about how they can do anything as well as a man can do.. it actually does a big disservice to women and the entire community as a whole.

I, for one, am shocked by this opinion.

Please tell us more things women should never be allowed to do.

That is the most plausible theory

I agree ...but there is no way they didnt see that plane before impact

All Im saying is there was no visual of reacting to seeing that plane at the last second.

And the helicopter was above 200 ft regardless if they saw the other plane.

Why? Everyone overlooks that part. Without that there is no accident.

There are some badass chick fighter pilots in the Airforce
😆 true. Your post made me think of 3 females the other day I encountered on the hiway. They would have been great candidates for the Japanese as kamikaze pilots in ww2. Holy cow

Even landing the plane is still going a few hundred MPH. Even if you see at the speed of both plane and chopper you literally would have zero reaction time

That's a Blackhawk.

There would be movement in surprise. Doesn't mean they don't hit but there is no way they didn't see that plane before impact

And again why were they above 200ft?

I'm not saying I'm right. I'm saying it looks that way.

So let me get this straight. This plane accident happens.everyone is watching on TV the breaking news . This person posts on social media that it’s basically fake news . You don’t think that’s a problem?
How is it a problem? Or is this where you assume to know the feelings of others then dictate what can be said?

Why would I let someone’s post bother me? Why do you want to censor him?
They don't worry about what others think because they are literally crazy. That is not seeing things differently. That is being detached from reality.

The "nothing wrong with questioning" crowd always brings that up, but ignores that these people aren't questioning, but rather saying definitively that it didn't happen.

Any group I'm interacting with, conspiracy theory guy is always the dumbest and poorest. Doesn't matter if it's family, friends, work, kids sports, etc. The people that latch onto this craziness are easy targets, along with the mentally ill. It's why social media is ruining this country.
you’d make a great NAZI. Go get your neighbors, buddy. They may be crazy, therefore dumb and worthless. Better off in camps, amirite

You seem to be the only one bringing up censorship and camps. Did anyone else? Projecting?

Nobody is overlooking elevation as the primary factor. The NTSB is still analyzing data to determine what the actual elevation First reports were 500 feet. That wasn’t accurate. Then I heard 350 from a pilot yesterday. They need the chopper’s flight data recorder to see if the altimeter in the chopper was accurate and what it registered at impact.

Having just flown in to and out of that airport I can guarantee you that the collision occurred way lower than 500’. Given the impact point in the middle of the rover there and the fact that the runway starts right at the rover’s edge, I don’t believe you could land if you were at 500’ at that point. NTSB and DoD officials are non-committal on elevation. Initial reports appear to be inaccurate. It’s still possible the plane pilot came in low to try to stop and taxi closer to his terminal

Saw the wreckage out of my window when we left DCA yesterday using a different runway. One thing I noted when we landed on the runway that plane was destined for was how rough the landing was. You needed your seatbelt cinched tight to keep from getting bounced around. It was very windy and gusty the night of the crash. No doubt it was bouncing both aircraft around.

It actually hasn’t definitively been proven the chopper was above 200’. Initial reports and elevation were inaccurate. I guarantee you it was less than the 500’ the plane supposedly was supposed to be at. One new estimate was 350’ but that’s not from a flight data recorder. I think it’s going to end up closer to 200 than 500 given the midpoint of the river where the crash happened. I understand why they patrol that river with Blackhawks but that’s a sketchy situation.

Multiple factors contributed. All will be looked at including the dedicated chopper controller leaving work early. 😕

It really doesn’t matter if it was 250 ft . That’s 50 ft above where the rules say they fly .if she is at 200 there is no accident.
