Ummmm would much rather go to Detroit. At least it’s in a dome.

Pinstripe vs. Boston College 11 am on December 28. Was hoping for a weekday evening game. Oh, well.
I think this will be a good matchup for the Huskers. Should be favored. BC has a dual threat QB that has played well at time and not so well at other times.
Really glad Castellanos, their QB, decided to enter the portal. A true dual threat guy, the type that always gives us, and most teams, a lot of trouble.
Remember watching him play against Mizzou and Sparty, he was pretty shifty and adequate passer.
Seemed like early he might be headed for FSU. If so, he might do well there. Really an instinctive kid in the pocket.
Regradless, I'm glad he's off their roster.
He got injured against Syracuse in their 9th game of the year, so BC played 9 games with him and 3 without him.
Odd thing, since he went down, Boston College scored 28 on SMU, 41 on North Carolina, and 34 on Pittsburgh, so they didn't suffer greatly although they didn't face very good defenses in those 3 teams without him.

I was just in Detroit and had a blast. I think that City gets a bad rap. At least the Detroit game would’ve been inside. I’m more pissed that Rutgers gets to go to phoenix and they straight sucked toward the end of the year.

Rate bowl was the bottom of the pecking order, that’s one reason why.

Beggars can't be choosers. Spending the holidays in NYC as a tourist doesn't sound that bad. Bowl games are just exhibition games anyway these days.
That was the Gotham Bowl against Miami I believe when Devante’s coaching. My dad and grandparents went to it
Prior to Devaney arriving we played in one prior bowl, the '41 Rose Bowl against Stanford.
It always cracked me up that Devaney said folks around here were pretty proud of that and Devaney said it wasn't until he was here a couple of years before he found out we lost that game. 🤣

The 2 most important benefits IMO.
1. We broke the streak. Monkey off our back.
2. 2 extra weeks of practice for the young guys to springboard into next season.
People act like they’re going to Diddy party or something, you’ll be fine people. Manhattan (New York in general) is generally safe, but you will drop some coin, it’s expensive.
And also a cool bowl game against a pretty cool opponent

So this leads me to this question, were those two coaches just excellent and everyone else is average or below? And back to back Nebraska hit it out of the park with Coach Devaney and Coach Osborn?
