Official. Pinstripe Bowl Nebraska vs Boston College

This had to do more with Michigan beating OSU . The pinstripe bowl literally said Michigan was their pick before the OSU game. Another reason is the stupid clauses the put on on a team can’t play in a certain bowl back to back years etc…. They is no way in hell the rate bowl in Phoenix wants Rutgers over Nebraska. But Rutgers played in NY last year. And Minnesota played their previous year or two ago . Even if We lose and Michigan wins . Without these clauses we are going to Phoenix or Charlotte.
The Rate bowl is down on the totem pole, choosing opponents..

LOL, Im guessing they aint staying in the Ritz. maybe the motel 6 on Long Island.

I watched a 10/11 video with one of the guys from executive travel talking about their packages to NYC for this bowl game. $3000-$3500 per person. All inclusive of course. Yay. So for me and the 3 others in my family who would be going, its $15k. There are about 100 other trips Id rather spend my money on. Jesus. Still hoping its Phoenix or Nashville.
It still soaks up affordable hotel rooms even if they're not staying at the Ritz. That's kind of the point. I don't think too many Husker fans going to watch a bowl game are going to be able to afford to stay at the Ritz either.

yankee stadium isnt in manhattan
I know that. It is in the Bronx. I got my doctorate at Fordham just up the road. I know it well. And if you want to go to the game and spend all your time in the Bronx feel free. 😂😂😂
Oh… and the Bronx is also expensive. And cold in December.
Have fun

Too bad we have all these’s illegals being put up in these hotels and we’re footing the bill that the government is responsible for..

They better have their bags packed once Tom Homann and the boys come knocking.

You need to be politically correct, like I am.

I talked to a couple guys from Honduras last week.
They complained how cold it was here and how nice it is back "home."
I said, "If it's so great there, what are you doing here?"

I was in NYC last week visiting a friend in Brooklyn. We ended up heading into Manhattan to a bar in midtown near the Empire State Building that we hadn’t been to in years but really liked back in the day. We found out the place is closing for good in two weeks and the owner is moving to Maine. Waitress told us it was because the bar’s city taxes were going up 50% in order to close the budget deficit caused by the hundreds of millions NYC has spent on illegals.

Doesn’t matter bowl committee makes deals. I guarantee you the bowl wants Nebraska over Rutgers but they can make the deal because Rutgers played in NY last year.
I think I just posted the Pinstripe is higher in the picking order..No wonder they want Nebraska. I didn’t say different.

They’ve said on the radio that 25% of New York’s hotel rooms are occupied by illegal immigrants so it’s virtually impossible to get a hotel room. Might be wise to stay in the burbs and take the train to the game.
That number is exaggerated of course, but I like the idea of staying outside of NYC. Not that NYC isn't a great venue. It certainly is. But one thing that I've done before is take a cheaper flight into Philly (or another city) and take a train into NYC. It was pretty damn cool. Got off right next to Madison Square Garden for a Knicks game.

Taxes going up to cover the budget deficit?

That's weird. Our schools teach our kids that illegal immigration improves this nation's economy.

If that's true, how is NYC's economy not ROARING with surpluses -- instead of facing billions in defecit -- due to this influx?

It's the Cloward-Pivens strategy.

NY deli's more than make up for an inconvenient mugging.

Just kidding. Last time I was in NY it seemed exceptionally safe and locals were very friendly in giving directions (sometimes wrong 🤣) and genuinely interested that we were having a good time.
👍👍
I'm sure those that survived Minneapolis will be able to withstand the ruffians from New York. Just don't mess with The Warriors

One year of McCord over 3-4 years of Raiola?
You really think Raiola is stying in Lincoln for 3-4 years.? And even if he does, will that be a good thing? The jury is still out with him.

Some of you need to start coming to terms with the new normal of college football. It is NFL-lite now.

This is a nine, maybe 10-win team with McCord.

2 more years = 3

I think so. Not sure where else he could get guaranteed jobs for his sister, uncle and little brother.

NYC at Christmas time is a fantastic destination. No joke. Just need the weather to be ok. If it’s nice out, walking around Manhattan, going to rockafeller center and saks is a great time. Go to the game. Catch a broadway show. Rooftop bars. Slice of pizza to end the night. Fun trip. Unless it’s cold. Then it sucks.
We spent a couple days in NYC when the Super Bowl was here in AZ a few years ago. I think the Patriots were playing and extra flights to PHX from JFK were added for the game. (Yes, I know the Patriots aren’t located in NYC.) That meant they also had extra flights back East and to sell them they were dirt cheap. Mid-town Manhattan hotel was also a great deal. However I have never been so fricking cold in my life and I grew up in the Black Hills. Access to the subways via icy steps and the biting, frozen wind above ground made the trip memorable for sure, and not in a really great way. But at least we didn’t spend 3 1/2 hours sitting in a frozen Yankee Stadium. 🤮🤣

Bring a face mask and your warmest parka.🥶

How can you NOT like the thought of playing in Yankee Stadium and hanging out in NY?

NY may suck to live in, but it’s awesome as a tourist.

The article says to stay in Jersey it’s closer to the stadium and cheaper

lol. That’s the dude responsible for a lot of the illegals in NYC. His properties there were a haven for them over the years.

I think it’s fitting the guy that helped caused this mess was elected to fix it. Now’s his chance!
The Donald made lemonade from lemons.

Thankful to be back in a bowl after such a long drought, and NYC is certainly an experience unlike anything in Nebraska, but damn. Just one more win and we would probably have had a much better bowl destination. I'll pray for an abnormal 50-60° temp that day.
Well the Gotham bowl started our run to greatness

Did you take a ride in the cash cab

People are so dramatic or uninformed. I go to nyc twice a year. Plenty of hotels available. Never feel unsafe. Go to Manhattan. Don’t be an idiot. You’ll be fine. Subway is fine. Train is fine. Just keep to yourself and mind your own business and every will leave you alone. Sheesh. Turn off the propaganda machines and go see for yourself. The boogie man isn’t lurking on every city block.
Nothing gets Husker fans going like banding together and working everyone into a tizzy about how unsafe big cities are. Remember how bad people were freaking out about traveling to Minneapolis last year? It's comical.

not coming at you i just dont understand why anyone would want to spend money in manhattan.. if youre gonna jump boroughs might as well be in brooklyn/queens where its less expensive and better bars/food. i will have fun tho bc i live out here and am glad i get to go to a bowl game.
