Official. Pinstripe Bowl Nebraska vs Boston College

Zero desire to go to NYC. I tried to want to once, but just cant.
Me either. There's nothing, absolutely 0 that interests me there. Missed a flight due to weather delay and had to spend 4 hours in an embassy suite in Newark one time. It was dark. Did get to see statue of liberty as we were landing

Does anyone think going to this bowl will inspire Husker fans to attend. NYC in December is not on my list of places I want to go to. I will watch it from a bar at some ski hill.
Because of New Year's Eve hotels are going to be particularly hard to book for a game on Dec 28. Yeah I know it's 3 days before but a lot of travelers will be getting in a few days before to sightsee and to avoid the travel crush. Add in the fact that it's a cold weather location in a city where crime is getting out of hand and nothing is cheap. Most Midwesterners want to spend the holidays somewhere warm and relaxed. Also this is a 6-6 team with some key portal losses that would be going to be playing an ACC school (which outside of FSU, Miami, and Clemson isn't as exciting as other potential matchups). Of all the potential bowl landing spots (except Detroit) I see this one as being the least likely to see significant Husker attendance.

We had our chances against Iowa and Illinois for 8 wins. But we continue to gift games away. Hopefully that era is over after this year. GBR!!
And we had a very legitimate chance to beat OSU at their place. We missed a couple of plays and lost by 4

I got dumped off a US Navy ship at the end of a long ammo loading pier near Earl, NJ at 2 AM once. I had to wait 45 minutes for a cab outside the base gate in the hood. pretty scary.

Minnesota in the Reliaquest?
Honestly Minnesota would give Ole Miss a better game..
Clarkeyes best player Johnson is turning pro and they have no legitimate QB unless Sullivan returns.

Gopher fans would travel well to Tampa but I can also see Michigan playing Ole Miss..

If you make the trip to New York City, get a ribeye at Smith and Wollensky near 3rd and Lexington. I know people will say, "They can't possibly have better steaks than...."

But they do. I felt like I should go to Confession after eating there.

LOL, Im guessing they aint staying in the Ritz. maybe the motel 6 on Long Island.

I watched a 10/11 video with one of the guys from executive travel talking about their packages to NYC for this bowl game. $3000-$3500 per person. All inclusive of course. Yay. So for me and the 3 others in my family who would be going, its $15k. There are about 100 other trips Id rather spend my money on. Jesus. Still hoping its Phoenix or Nashville.
It is certainly the most expensive time of year to go to NYC, but I'm guess $3k - $3.5k per person is just crazy talk when you start getting to a party of that size. For 2 people staying 4 to 5 nights I could see it though. Rooms at a decent hotel will be around $500 a night and flights $600 - $1000 depending how early you book and where you are coming in from.

I'd probably look at flying into and spending most of my time in one of the other big cities and taking the train in for the game and maybe only staying a night in NYC.

Boston college temporarily was selling pinstripe bowl tickets.

We have never faced Boston College in football. Intriguing. Had hernia surgery 3 weeks ago so I get to tell the wife no to NY and watch it from the comfort of my couch
