Was reported by Lars Anderson that Barett Ruud will be Frost's Lb coach...

These coaches are smart and good teachers. My only worry is they may promote out....but they will lay into players who don't uphold the brand. Can you imagine having Ruud, Austin, and Frost come at you in practice when you don't finish off a drill? Compared to Riley, Diaco, and Cav? Lol
Again, Riley, Diaco & Cav all cared & are nice men but just aren’t top caliber winning coaches. Bo was a prick but he could at least 9 & 10 games per year even while switching conferences. Now we get the best of everything with winning & motivating coaches who bleed Husker red. Been a long drought but the rains are coming.
Nothing more refreshing than a nice rain. Like Frost in the morning too..... sorry if that doesn't sound good..... Frost and a cup of coffee.Again, Riley, Diaco & Cav all cared & are nice men but just aren’t top caliber winning coaches. Agree, I wouldn't mind seeing a few former players, but playing and coaching are 2 different things. Lets get some proven big time coaches in here as well.A staff made up of a bunch of former players isn't going to put hardware in the case. A few here and there...... sure.
This program is to the point that they need to get the best that the best money can buy. Might as well go down throwing million dollar haymakers.
Not saying you aren’t right. But also saying you are either. Do you think Osborne’s staff early on were sought after? McBride, Tenopir, et al, ended up as legends but when they started they were likely unknown.A staff made up of a bunch of former players isn't going to put hardware in the case. I don't think Cav is a nice guy. He steals the meals and the leftovers.Ruud & Austin are at least 2 former Huskers who will be returning with Frost. Hopefully, @Biff Bridges & others who have been anti-former Huskers including but not limited to Frost will appreciate how badly we need these guys right now. Dominic Raiola laid it out very well in the Journal Star article. Riley, Cav, etc are all nice men but they took us to the lowest level since Bill Jennings who was also a nice man. Getting some Husker winners like Frost, Ruud, Austin, etc & whoever else Scott chooses may be our last hope to get back to the top. They know Nebraska, winning, coaching, motivating, etc. Hopefully, everybody will support them. GBR!
Here is what is pretty cool in all of this, Frost will finally get his chance to play Michigan.Agree, I wouldn't mind seeing a few former players, but playing and coaching are 2 different things. Lets get some proven big time coaches in here as well.
He played them last year with UCF and annoyed Harbaugh after the game when he commented how his guys were the ones hitting harder. I like his moxie. Here is what is pretty cool in all of this, Frost will finally get his chance to play Michigan.
But now he gets to play them wearing the N again. He played them last year with UCF and annoyed Harbaugh after the game when he commented how his guys were the ones hitting harder. I like his moxie.
Back in Solich's waning days, he went out and got an NFL LB coach to be the D-coordinator. He also brought in former Huskers Jimmie Williams and Marvin Sanders to coach position players. That D was pretty damn good. I can only hope next years D will improve even more. It is hard not to when you are next to last in the NCAA in D.So how does everyone seem to know so much about how these assistants coach? It is assumed they are hard nosed and intense teachers but are they?
