Believe it or not, he may be better at his day job and it may pay better
It it is the second one he has a chance to put up and change things.Did he get fired or did he step down to be part of football administration?
You know that is a good question. He's talked about working in Chicago I believe but the only thing listed for him is his Husker job. What's his day job?
Lots of travel and I don't think it pays all that well. Why would he step down for Basketball ?
Football makes senses.
He's part owner in one of the bars in the Haymarket or at least used to beWhat's his day job?

Staff job? And what exactly would qualify him to do anything like that at Nebraska?
One is an AAC school. One is supposedly a Blue Blood. What are the qualifications that Barrett Rudd have to be UFCs quality control manager or whatever he is? I don’t know the prerequisites are needed to be a staffer.

They were not good enough, which kind of proves the point. What are the qualifications for James Rodgers, our director of player development? How about Michael Philipp? Nick Halberg?

Total breakdown. Not sure why Nebraska couldn't get someone with actual experience other than complaining behind a microphone about how this is not like it used to be.Where the losses on the staffers? Were they the problem?

And he waited until now to pursue it? Follow your dreams I guessI didn’t realize that his only skill set was behind a microphone.

Gotta help his buddy pack his boxes in the UHaul......lol.Matt isn't traveling with the hoops team this weekend, announced on the Nebrasketball postgame.

They weren't that bad, but when you are a member of an organization, and I do believe the radio broadcast team are loosely "part of the organization", you don't bag on the organization. And he was bagging on the organization. The organization wants someone more like Don Bryant who would be upbeat and jolly even if a nuclear was were going on.I don't know why he would have gotten fired. His comments weren't that bad IMO.
He's been following the program for a long time and knows the ins and outs of it. He's played WR at the P5 level. He's plenty qualified for a staff job as long as he has the ability.Staff job? And what exactly would qualify him to do anything like that at Nebraska?
Good point. It is odd that he is leaving now after voicing his opinion about MR.They weren't that bad, but when you are a member of an organization, and I do believe the radio broadcast team are loosely "part of the organization", you don't bag on the organization. This. YesI thought Matt was excellent on the radio and I would take him as part of the Husker football program any time he offered.
