Reported by ESPN that he hit his girlfriend so hard in the head that the force ruptured her eardrum. I did not have an opinion beforehand on him and was actually rooting for him to get out of this terrible episode of life he's going through with the Browns, but hitting a woman? Even if she cheated on him or somehow betrayed him or controlled him or anything related like that, why on EARTH would you hit a woman so hard you rupture her eardrum? Just walk away. Who knows what the situation was. But, Johnny... are you seriously kidding me?

Ryan Leaf (!) even is extending his hand to get help basically saying him not to f*** up anything else up otherwise he'll be behind bars ---or in his father's words, he "(might not) live to see his 24th birthday." All accusations aside, I seriously hope the dude gets some help. He won't answer to the Cleveland Browns when all they want to do is help him now too. Is Jerry Jones the answer for him? If and once he goes to prison if he is found guilty of abuse? Bringing me to my final point, is the structure and discipline of football what he needs, just in a different organization? I have a bad feeling this will be one of the defining crime sports stories of the decade.

What he needs is to burn through all his money and have to work his ass off like everyone else. Then he wouldn't have time for this nonsense. People that have a lot of money can cover up their addictions and behavioral issues. We just call them eccentric. Of course, his parents have money so I'm not sure that will help him unless they cut him off.

ESPN reported that she alleged these injuries not that they happened. She is his ex-girlfried. He is rich. Maybe you ought to slow down.

Yes, her lawyer says he did this and maybe he did, but her lawyer saying he did is hardly evidence. Its all about money now.
There's also a chance it could be about personal safety and justice. I'm guessing you'll stick with it being about money, though.

"Johnny Football" is no more. Now it's "Johnny Trainwreck." Tired of hearing about his screwups already.

Manziel needs to grow up, he's acting like a spoiled kid, which he is. I fault his parents for not providing better guidance and a little discipline. Makes me wonder if his parents actually spent any time with him as a child.

Even if she is lying Johnny Trainwreck has done enough self-inflicted damage to his reputation to last multiple NFL careers. This his not his first brush with the law by any means. The only thing I wish Johnny Trainwreck is that he wakes up before it is too late.

Drunk at practice doesn't bode well for the future. Maurice Clarett used to do the same thing.

It's very clear to everyone now that Johnny loves what football gives him (money, fame, etc.) more than he ever loved football. That's what separates the Ryan Leafs and Johnny Manziels from the Peyton Mannings and Russell Wilsons. If he loved football he wouldn't have been skipping games to wear a cheap wig and gamble in a crappy vegas casino or throwing bangers with Josh Gordon the night before games. With that being said it's also very clear that the young man has some demons, I hope he gets the help he needs.

Former Vikings QB Tommie Kramer used to come drunk to the games. Jim Langer, his center for a couple of years, told stories at a function I was at about them finding him hanging from his seat belt in his upside down car the morning of a game....Fed him a bunch of coffee and he threw for 250+.......
