Arch Manning: How college football's past 20 top QB recruits have fared
Arch Manning's commitment to Texas is a boost to the Longhorns but his success isn't guaranteed when you look at the last 20 top QB recruits.

Most are very productive. The worst don’t start due to other star QBs at the school (Phillip Sims never beat out AJ McCarron who was a star). It should be noted that Sims was the lowest ranked #1 QB ever. So the chances were highest for him to be the one that didn’t pan out.
3 didn’t get drafted - one was
shea Patterson who was a good college QB
3 were the number 1 overall pick.
Overall I think history shows we should end up pretty happy with Raiola’s outcome here at Nebraska. It’s almost guaranteed he plays in the NFL. There is as good of a chance of him being the top overall pick as there is of him not making the league.
The only thing that holds him back is another really good QB taking the starting spot
Looking at you Danny Kaelin.
