Keona Davis to the portal

I can still punch. Liked to fight a little as a youth. Last guy who tried me they pulled me off him as I had him by the hair banging his head off of a tile floor. I heard his buddy the next day telling somebody "I thought he was gonna kill him". Yeah I might have had some anger issues. I always gave the other guy the first swing and I never usually needed a second one to finish it.

Gotta be careful who you mess with these days. There are guys out there that will fvck you up bigtime.

The only way to enjoy CFB nowadays is to not pay attention to the off-season or get emotionally invested by
Players. This one makes zero sense to me other than trying to leverage NIL.

It's been a long long time where I had the need to physically do something. Had a kid after one of my kid's basketball game say something to me and knock my hat off my head as he passed by. My left hand had him by the throat up against a wall before he knew what hit him. I could have pummeled him senseless. I caught sh## from the school for doing it but I told them if I had wanted to hurt him, I could have killed him. The school he was from informed our superintendent that he wished he could have done it. Foul mouthed sh##head. Poor baby complained to the state's attorney that his neck was black and blue.:) Bet he never did that stunt again.

I don’t doubt you for some reason there are a lot of angry people in today’s world
I guess I don't see or read about as many fights/assaults as I used to in my area. Too many cell phones and guns around. I also don't hang out at crappy bars much anymore either though. I have a friend who is a bouncer at an area strip club/bar. He's probably 65 but you would be an idiot to mess with him. I would guess him at 180 lbs, but he was a marine and still lifts and runs every day. I also know he carries and knows how to use it. I've heard stories about him messing people up who thought they were tough. Super nice guy. Funny story. He lives by himself in a basement level apartment. The power company showed up and accused him of stealing electricity because his bills were so low. He told them that he never turns the heat or A/C on. Couldn't be over 50F in his place in the winter.

The problem, other than the obvious, if you grab someone like my son or me by the throat, you're gonna be losing a little finger real quick. That's unless you're picking your nose off the ground from an elbow strike first.
There are guys who've been instinctly trained their entire life to neutralize anything you try. Avoid them.

Nowadays there are way too many of the bad guys carrying to mess with.

He tried the finger deal I think just because I had so much pressure on his carotid arteries and trachea. That was 25 years ago. He was just a punk high schooler who thought he was tough. Random bums with knives worry me more walking in cities. We had one big black dude accost us on Michigan Avenue in Chicago as we were walking to supper about 8 years ago. When we wouldn't give him any money he started following us spewing profanity and threatening us. We just kept walking. Took an uber the 8 blocks back to the hotel after dinner. We'll never go back. My wife and her bestie used to go there the first week of December every year. They would drop probably 5K Christmas shopping (mostly for themselves) and go to dinners and shows. Not any more.

It's always best to just keep on walking.

What happened with your heart? Stress, chemically induced or genetics?
Nothing really, just came out of the blue one day with heartburn that just kept getting worse and worse. I rarely ever got heartburn so I thought something might be up. I was always awake and alert during the whole thing.
I was actually driving and pulled off the road, called and told my wife that she might want to call an ambulance.
Few hours later I was in an ambulance going to Neb Heart Institute.

There is very long genetics on my mom's side. She was 97 and both her parents lived into their late 90's, they were all three horrible people. My old man got killed at 42, and he was adopted, so I don't know any of his family history.

What did the worse feel like when you knew it was time to make the call?

Did you drink then? Overweight? On meds?

I love this type of shit

It was progressively more painful, but not excruciating. I have never drank alcohol. I wasn't more than 5#'s more than when I graduated Basic Training in damn good shape. I wasn't taking any meds at that time.

My two full brothers also had heart attacks in their 60's. They both survived as well. There is likely something there from my old man's side of the family. One brother is a total teetotaler and never smoked, my other brother another alcohol-free guy who only smokes pot.

As we all know, it's difficult to outrun your genetics. Doesn't mean it has to do you in, but until I had my event, there was no indication that any of us three guys were maybe subject to that type health issue.

Not to be a badass, but I don't fear death because it's inevitable. Even when I thought it was gonna be over, I was never afraid, mostly just sad because I had such a great relationship with my 2 grandsons and they were like 5 and 3 at the time.

The relationship I had with my grandpa when I was young was a disgusting thing, so much of my life has been about being as great of a grandpa as I can be, since I was exposed to the worst kind. That's a story for another time.

Very cool. Always love your long, detailed responses.

I had an accident where I went behind the curtain and met God. It’s not a scary event. Time and fear don’t exist there. However, I have young kids and I didn’t want to leave them.

I gained perspective nobody has around me. I truly know what matters. God is cool like that. Obviously I have more work to do in this realm.

Of course, due to forum rules, we're really not allowed to expand on your views. No doubt many on here don't care for my long responses, and that's okay.

About 4-5 years ago I had surgery near my brain due to a growth on my pituitary gland which caused my left optic nerve to not function properly. So when the neurosurgeon performed the surgery he said that it resulted from my childhood, which was filled with terror, and it caused, as he said "My DNA to go rogue."

I post a lot of different topics on here, and some dudes have a problem with it and my thought is tough shit.
The sad thing is so many of these guys haven't ever done anything in their life, so its easy to try to take down someone who has. If some of them weren't such pricks, they might actually learn something from someone like me.

There are guys on here that I respect the hell out of. Only know one forum personally, but we have some really cool, accomplished dudes on here. Others choose to disrespect me and I choose to return that sentiment to them.

You shouldn’t let them bother you just as you wish your posts didn’t bother them. You know this. Don’t let this place raise your BP

I have found over my many years that truly tough guys don't have to tell anyone how tough they are. That is why your friend can be so nice. He has nothing to prove.

(Maybe I can introduce this guy to my wife. We have the cheapest power in the country because our PUD has a dam on the Columbia River. Still, my wife keeps the house so cold at night I sleep with a ski hat on, so my old bald head doesn't get cold).
