If we don't get to a bowl game

Rhule deserves to be fired, he probably wont but he would have had 10 tries to get to a 6th win and failed. 6-6 with a bowl and some staff changes would keep him safe but have some well deserved heat.
Wrong. Year 3 is his year based on past history.

I am leaning towards not watching another NU game until they qualify for a bowl. Watching for the last 7+ years has not helped them or me. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and couldn't go back to sleep because I am so disgusted with the staff and team. I would be happier if NU just gave up football then watching this annual fall shit show.
You can always give up Neb football. The rest of us will be here to appreciate it when we are back

I feel like sticking to that just eliminated expectations these first 2 seasons. 56-7 loss oh well you know he doesn’t do well until year 3. 5-3 but lose last four of the year in 2023? Oh well you know it always takes him 3 years. Meanwhile Deion Sanders will get 7-8 wins in his 2nd year with a worse starting spot. And we know about the guy at Indiana. Bottom line is that adhering to his past history is only making excuses.

I'm actually more curious as to what our new AD is like.. what does he want to see? does anyone know? he's going to have a BIG say in what happens here

The backup torched us
Indiana playing with their backup outscored us 28-0
It’s obvious who the better QB is from the start..spread would be much more than 6.5 if Rourke was starting QB this Saturday..

Seems like just a week ago we ran out of the tunnel at Bloomington as 6.5 pt dogs

But you are correct. Rourke is probably the much better QB. I highly doubt the backup undresses Washington’s staff like he did Rhule and White

I dvr every game so no more lost or wasted time on a result I won't like.

It's all considered sports entertainment nowadays, much like the questionable refereeing we see that's akin to "professional wrestling". So by recording the game first I'm only going to watch when the good guys win.

It’ll be interesting if TW will adopt a more conventional 4-3 defense. I think the days of running a 3-4 or 3-3-5 will be done once Ty and Nash leave.
3-3-5 isn't working because they REFUSE to let corners play man to man coverage on the outside. The only time they brought numbers towards the line was against Rutgers and we should have given up two huge tds...so our corners must be absolute trash despite the "narrative". Scheme does not matter one bit if guys get beat every play...Nash and Ty aren't beating guys one on one, corners can't cover, safeties can't tackle, lbs can't track. And it was high time we actually faced a decent offense...I think they have faced 3 in two years and got rolled every time. I get the vibe that the coaching staff if full of alcoholics that are worried more about "work/life balance" than actually coaching up the team, because we have gotten worse as the season progressed in both seasons, and it isn't just competition.

And maybe there's a serious lack of talent on this team.

I think the over-cautious mindset has been figured out by opposing coaches. Teams get the ball out quickly against us because we keep safeties back but also don't press...I think the inefficiency on offense has spooked Tony into playing the consummate bend but don't break defense rather than give up big plays and get into a hole where we are behind and teams can run it down our throats. This has worked as we have been ahead by multiple scores in most games and had chances to break it open against Illinois. We saw why we don't want to play from behind in the Indiana game. We were in the game, even the 2nd half...28-7, we had the ball in the red zone and Indiana had their backup qb in the game..our offense is so bad though that they nearly give up a pick 6 and the team deflated.

What do you find interesting?
I had no idea he was an Iowa State and then Northern Iowa alum.. this tells me he's been exposed to what Nebraska was in it's glory years. Not saying he was a fan back then, but it's possible. Kind of like having a Nebraska guy in there that isn't actually from Nebraska. But that's just what I'm reading into it.

Rhule showed he was willing to make a change and get a real OC. Rhule demoted his pal and brought in a big time OC. New OC calls out the receivers, running backs, coaches and we put together our best game we've had in a while. Great coaching job by Rhule that saved our season, the misery of another 5-7 season would have been absolutely brutal.

We're making a bowl game, and wisconsin sucks!
