Terrible 1st half on all counts. But we’re still the better team, we get our shit together we can still win this.
Are we really the better team? Did you see who they lost to in January? Who can actually hit a jump shot for us on a consistent basis? Again, Williams and Gary have to carry us. Having Gary in foul trouble really hurts given our complete lack of dudes at F. Not saying we can’t come back and win, but based on pure talent, we are not a gimme against anyone in the B10.

decently loud chants of GBR! Tough win on the road after a hot start for the home team, a very good showing to close it out. Gotta like our odds at home vs. Ohio State on Sunday

It appears so... ended up 14 pts better

I saw it coming. Tried to get a couple of people to bet on if we would make the tourney.

Lost 4 close games where we just didn't play well, but were one or two plays away from still winning.

My last post in the thread was the exasperated: “JFC they’re 7 for 7 from behind the arc!!” Then I went to bed.

I was hoping what happened would happen. They had to cool off. UW hit just 3 more treys (out of 18!!). Their overall % dropped below 40% after the hot start, and the veteran Huskers stayed cool and ended up winning in a route. It was nice being on the right side of a 27 point swing.

Great opportunity lies ahead. Even a little margin for error exists, which didn’t seem possible after the losing streak.

I’m back in.

I knew that if Washington is starting that dude that used to play for Nebraska (Briedenbach?)....they can't be very good. I almost felt bad for them.

The shooting pixie dust switched teams at half.
Worster was terrible until he got to the line at the end. He turned the ball over and threw up brick after brick in the first half. I can’t see how he plays as many minutes as he does. Once again Sam was money. Rebounds, steals, defense with some scoring sprinkled in. Brice was tremendous but we would be screwed without Sam. He just plays hard and makes big plays which helps Brice. Our offensive motion in that game was outstanding especially in the second half.

Either Rollie or Berke has to step up.

People need to quit dogging Worster, Berke, and some of the other guys. They are role players. It's interesting what you credit Sam with as that is what Worster brings to the table as well. He is an excellent ball-handler that we can depend on bringing the ball up the court. That does not seem like much, but when we depend on Brice to expend a lot of energy on offense, it is a big plus. He's also out there scrapping for loose balls, rebounds, and playing solid defense.

If Berke does what he did this game the rest of the season, the Huskers will be in great shape. He's a rebounder and defender first, scoring contributor second. I will say he is a little disappointing from a basketball IQ standpoint considering his Euro background.
