I suspect he’s happy to lose that bet. I haven’t bet on a Husker game in decades but if I did I always picked the opponent. If they won I was happy and if they lost I had some money to drown my sorrows.

I'm with you. I watched Scheierman play his senior year at the Heartland Hoops Classic and I just could NOT believe that Hoiberg wouldn't even give him a look. His shot looked smooth and confident and he was draining 3s in warmups from all over. At the time I was thinking he looked like a Hoiberg doppelganger. Instead, Fred and Abdelmassih wasted their time watching Sallis. What could have been.
