Hawkeyes

5 threads, one 120 posts, another over 500.
Still waiting for one of the numerous io_a posters over here to acknowledge these facts.

It’s true, I despise nearly all iowa fans, but the vast majority of husker fans pay them no mind. The obsession is almost entirely one sided with iowa fans. I appreciate it that very few, if any, say anything like they post to husker fans in person, they are very meek face to face. They are great at hiding behind a cake walk OOC schedule and the keyboard.

Pretty sure they played NEB out of conference during Crouch’s years at QB.
They played Nebraska out of conference for a couple of years when Crouch was our QB. It was when Captain Kirk first took over for Hayden Fry. The schedule was made long before Ferentz was able to control it. He had to live with it. Ferentz record the first two years he became head coach is not something Hawkeye fans like to talk about. But then he gained control of his non-conference schedule after that. I have always been amazed at how his teams rarely play Ohio State within the conference. Never have seen an explanation of that.

Those were good Nebraska teams and it showed in those games. That was KFs first game in 99' and they got worked in the second half. That 00' game you could see the improvement in the trenches for Iowa.

As for OSU, they have played them 11 times since KF took over. Not much you can do both teams have no common protected rivals and have been in opposite divisions sine those originated.

And in the mean time Nebraska was too in opposite divisions but as played tOSU 8 times from the time Nebraska has entered the conference in 2011..

Now do the math the last 24 years of Captain Kirk’s tenure…

It’s easy - iowa vs anyone is boring and bad for the conference

Which is why they play Rutgers and Indiana while we play ohiost and Michigan

Before you whine about this being unfair please try and understand fair has nothing to do with it

During the clemson game last night they said that was the first time they’d played @ Duke since 2016

Correct. Nebraska was brought in because of its previous national branding, Of course the BIG was going to try to use that when it came to scheduling. The problem is Nebraska as a FB brand hasn't held up their end of the deal.

the brand has

you and every person in iowa still obsess over it - that's for sure
