I’m 100% positive that guy, like 100% of people who move to alaska, is on the lamHa ha ha joining the exclusive club
Let me put it this way. Back when I was in the service many moons ago, I was involved in some counter narcotic activities along the US Mexican border. I could write stories where I included multiple events and made it look like it took place on back to back days, or in the same week, when, in reality, the two events were 5 to 6 months apart. I could combine two or three events, and make them into one event. Would that make the events untrue or slightly embellished? If you were not there, how would you know if what I wrote were the actual events or not?I meant the man that the story is based on, not the “lead”, my mistake.
I absolutely was not there.
Does my lack of presence preclude my opinion that this is a greatly embellished movie?
But that is not the movie.Let me put it this way. Back when I was in the service many moons ago, I was involved in some counter narcotic activities along the US Mexican border. So, while you may have an opinion that the events are greatly embellished, what that doesn’t do is make your opinion valid or correct.
I am sure if I told you some of the stories that happened to me on the border you would think I was lying. And that is fine. You can have that opinion but again, it doesn’t make your opinion right. Because you were not there.
I had a teaching friend move to Alaska to teach...he was not on the lam...I’m 100% positive that guy, like 100% of people who move to alaska, is on the lam
So where did you see the movie? But that is not the movie.
I have no reason to doubt you. Your experiences at the border were what they were. I have read your posts for years. This has nothing to do with your experiences.
This movie is Reality Television with a very strong conspiracy message.
Alaska is offering nice signing bonuses and paying for the move for teachers these days.I had a teaching friend move to Alaska to teach...he was not on the lam...
Oh hold on, he did go there without his wife and then got divorced...so I guess he was running and hiding! Ha
They have been offering that for a long time now, but I am sure it is even more now!Alaska is offering nice signing bonuses and paying for the move for teachers these days.
I’m just not sure I want to go from the sauna of Houston to the icebox of Fairbanks. Plus I’m not on the lam……yet
Ha ha I’m not going anywhere let alone the bush country of Alaska to teach little house on the prairie style. They have been offering that for a long time now, but I am sure it is even more now!
He taught out in the ****ing bush, one room school house. Do not go to the Aleutian Islands or Hooper Bay.
I have not, nor do I have any desire to.So where did you see the movie?
You will never regret a year or two in Fairbanks. Where I began in 1984. Endless summer, longer winter.Alaska is offering nice signing bonuses and paying for the move for teachers these days.
I’m just not sure I want to go from the sauna of Houston to the icebox of Fairbanks. Plus I’m not on the lam……yet
He has some stories!Ha ha I’m not going anywhere let alone the bush country of Alaska to teach little house on the prairie style.
Those damn phonies sensationalizing children sex trafficking. Everyone relax, it’s really not THAT bad. How ****ing [fill in degrading adjective] do you think you soundHe did dramatise it, and is being paid well.
Parts are true, but it is still a movie.
He and his links to Q make him as believable as Alex Jones and infowars views on school shootings.
This was made to enrich those that made this movie, and really nothing more.
Go away. Those damn phonies sensationalizing children sex trafficking. Everyone relax, it’s really not THAT bad. How ****ing [fill in degrading adjective] do you think you sound
Bunch of Rosenthals on this site ..What’s strange is so many people have a problem with this movie, especially you people complaining about it that haven’t even watched it. Makes me wondering why so many oppose it, you all got something to hide or what?
Enjoy the smell of your farts and cuties tonight you weird fvck.He did dramatise it, and is being paid well.
Parts are true, but it is still a movie.

Right on que. @scopeandtime and his graphs pop up.😂Bunch of Rosenthals on this site ..
You sure have formed a lot of facts for something you haven’t seen… very odd you’re so against stopping child sex trafficking .. glad you’re far far away from my kids.I have not, nor do I have any desire to.
Mock me all you want, but I have read much.
I can form an opinion at any time I wish to upon what I read.
Tim Ballard will not allow CIA to say if he worked there or not.
As many operatives are activiely identified as “exCIA
You will never regret a year or two in Fairbanks. Where I began in 1984. Endless summer, longer winter.
Midnight sun and all the rest, you cannot imagine until you experience it.
Like your argument with me and that movie.
There is no political agenda in the film. Just trying to make people aware of child trafficking, it’s a worldwide problem. It can be both. Child trafficking is real, a massive underground issue and almost any attention brought to it is a good thing…..and political agendas and undertones can also be present in the film.
I’ll probably watch it at some point, but wouldn’t even considering going to the theatre to see it. I’m looking forward to Mission Impossible and Oppenheimer though. Both look fantastic.
I get it, you are on the spectrum. Your saving grace.Go away.
He dead?What hasn't @Jaemekon posted a video???
Nah.. stuck in trafficHe dead?
My mom had a shoe string relative back in the 30s who was a little off center. My mom said that there was a rumor that he had touched a local boy inappropriately. They found him hanging from a windmill and nobody thought they needed to investigate how it happened.Haven't seen the movie but I'd argue that society becoming increasingly soft is at the core of all our problems. Somebody touches a kid and it should be a 5 minute conversation of how this is gonna end for him/her. Not this do 3 years and get out crap. There should be no such thing as a repeat offender of this crime.
Do people really make people aware of something by having them pay to see it in a theater? If awareness was the goal wouldn't it just be released on the internet for free? There is no political agenda in the film. Just trying to make people aware of child trafficking, it’s a worldwide problem.
Do people really make people aware of something by having them pay to see it in a theater? If awareness was the goal wouldn't it just be released on the internet for free?
There's literally zero political agenda and/or undertones present in this film. What makes you think there are any?It can be both.
You’re trying so hard and I applaud your efforts but you just need to come clean about whatever is getting you to defend a position that isn’t a good one to defend and attack a position that is a morally sound one.Do people really make people aware of something by having them pay to see it in a theater? If awareness was the goal wouldn't it just be released on the internet for free?
The desire to find a reason to dislike something for said reason instead of the merits of the movie. There's literally zero political agenda and/or undertones present in this film. What makes you think there are any?
sweet lawd the irony is so heavy nash hutchmatcher couldn't lift itMaking assumptions about people is a major problem in this country.
I posted a link with him as the main subject earlier in the thread. The main character is based on a real guy with a real name, yes. No idea if the main child character is the real name but highly doubtful as there could be legal issues there with minor and what not.Does this movie name actual people involved? maybe even as an epilogue to the movie? Would like to have some real names instead of just innuendo and blind items.
Yeah, I mean why do people who work at non-profits need to get paid? If they really cared about their cause they'd do the work for free.Do people really make people aware of something by having them pay to see it in a theater? If awareness was the goal wouldn't it just be released on the internet for free?
It can be both. I just take exception to people who want to claim the story is greatly embellished when a) they haven't seen the movie or b) cannot produce anything that contradicts the story.
The guy literally went to a different country to save a kid from child sex trafficking, and saved other kids in the process. That actually happened. That's the main takeaway. That is not embellished at all. I cannot believe you can just shrug that aside. It is a movie tor chrissakes!!!
“Based”on a true story.
It is a movie, not anything close to a documentary.
Kind of like reality television. It convinces some, but is not serious in its attempt at accuracy. This reaction is just way too predictable.
It was made to make $$$. It is “drama”, made to make you think, by wildly embellishing the truth.
My $.02
Quit deflecting. I never said anything bad about the movie. I think people are going a little overboard in making it sound like some kind of holy grail. Nothing wrong with just saying it's a good movie that has a good underlying message. Like say, Saving Private Ryan. You’re trying so hard and I applaud your efforts but you just need to come clean about whatever is getting you to defend a position that isn’t a good one to defend and attack a position that is a morally sound one.
Praying for you sir.
And for curiosities sake, what exactly will you praying for me? Can you pray for me to let laid tonight? You’re trying so hard and I applaud your efforts but you just need to come clean about whatever is getting you to defend a position that isn’t a good one to defend and attack a position that is a morally sound one.
Praying for you sir.
Well for one, Saving Private Ryan was not made to bring awareness to war. There is no doubt the story has some very historically accurate components, it was simply telling a fictional story about trying to get a the 4th brother out of a warzone after his 3 brothers were killed.Quit deflecting. I never said anything bad about the movie. I think people are going a little overboard in making it sound like some kind of holy grail. Nothing wrong with just saying it's a good movie that has a good underlying message. Like say, Saving Private Ryan.
People are saying that though.Nothing wrong with just saying it's a good movie that has a good underlying message.
