Wasn’t directed at you.
"They" is exactly who he understood it as. Pedophiles not the people shining light on them are the bad guys. I thought that was understood in my post. Holy crap. Can we all put politics aside for literally just a few seconds? Don't we all agree that peds are the worst of the worst in our society? Even murderers in prison understand this. Hardcore political folks seem to be the only ones on both sides that are always finding a reason to make excuses for them.

Prob 4 pages behind at this point, so apologize if this has been discussed.
Not meant in attacking you in any way, but this is part of my concern going forward in social/online media.
Media can regulate political comments, but historical norm for religious comments are much less regulated.
I grew up in catholic schools, but all that taught me was to lean towards atheism.
So now I am banned from debating for or against political or religious opinions deemed as unsatisfactory at this particular time in history.
Maybe I'm wrong in this thought, but if I replied with something like "your God is a fairytale to deal w death", it wouldn't be received well. But my opinion is every bit as valid as those with others.

There’s a reason why lust is a sin

This is where religion loses me.

I’m a guy, who likes sex, with women of an appropriate age. I must have sex to carry on our species. If I didn’t like sex, then we would have troubles.

Calling lust an objectively true sin is weird. And I’m semi-religious, God-fearing, all of that.

You’re confusing sex with lust, but pint taken

Well my tweet wont work for some reason but washington post, rolling stone, media matters, and the guardian are pushing the “qanon” narrative with this movie. Sickos.
Because there are a lot of ped-ohs and sexual deviants at places like CNN and Disney. A few were arrested last year. How many dont get caught? Whole cockroaches in the dark kitchen if you ask me.

I will admit, Jim C's ads that came out just before the movie did a good job of sparking interest. I thought it was odd, but he is an odd dude. Can someone here explain the actual plot and outcome of the movie? I will most likely never watch it for various reasons. What are we supposed to do to stop the trafficking? Does it give any solutions? I assume its non-fiction and unlike the Taken movies Jim Caviziel doesnt come in and machine gun all the bad guys. The movie is obviously doing its job by getting people talking, so....what do we do about it? Does the movie offer any solutions? And please dont respond with 'vote blue' or 'vote red'.
Go see the movie. What are you afraid of?

Don’t you need lust for urge you to have sex?

Or do some have sex to only make babies, and not enjoy it?
No to your first question. You can enjoy sex without being lustful.

I'll speak only for the Catholic Church, but nowhere in the CCC does is say you cannot / shouldn't enjoy sex. I believe it calls us not to be promiscuous, lustful, etc.

It wasn’t understood, which is why I asked. Yes, peds are pure evil, but some prefer you call them MAP.

Procreative and unitive.

Two purposes of sex that are equally important and that should not be detached from one another.

High bar but couples who practice this have much lower divorce rates and report higher satisfaction in their sex lives.

Discipline leads to happiness in all areas of life. No pain, no gain.

NOw youre confusing love with lust.

Lust: I see you as a thing and want to use you for my own sexual gratification. “Food for the stomach”.

Love: I want what is best for you and I want to give myself fully to you and to receive you fully.

Theres nothing wrong with sexual attraction. Nothing at all. What is wrong is wanting to use somebody to get your rocks off, or viewing them as an object to use.

Love is desiring the best for another. That means to love everybody you should not use anybody.

Lol religion absolutely ruins everything good about sex. Sorry. Y’all stick to your Sunday services and leave it alone!

Ha! Well no one is forced to follow it.

I’m grateful for it. More meaningful, better, and more often with less divorce? Ill take that all day and tell others when given the chance. You do whatever you want.

Wonder if it would be more accepted if Jim Caviezel wasn't the lead?
I think the Christian community accepts it more BECAUSE Jim Caviezel is in the lead part. He is not apologetic in his stand for Christ.

Sorry it ruins your gay sex.
Nah, it’s not that at all. Grew up in a (painfully) religious home, and am just opining that religion always stigmatizes sex into something weird. It’s a bodily function, like breathing, or taking a piss. Am definitely more of a free love and monogamy is stupid kind of person. Happily play golf on Sunday mornings. SO MANY tee times…

This is pretty much spot on...They also treat it as like a sacrament (almost) and a sin.

I get why some dudes "fall for it" because they meet a girl they love and the girl is super into that idea...so the guy has to pretend like he thinks it is awesome too...

Then you end up having sex while wearing your PJ's and just pulling your dong through that front slit.

They make it into something either ‘sinful’ or ‘precious’, religious, whatever. It’s a basic necessity that is OCCASIONALLY, either purposefully or accidentally used for procreation. And waaaaaay the hell too much for procreation, IMHO. It’s only a matter of time before we have child limits. Literally.

Would strongly advocate for a married couple having the right to spawn one and a half kids. One freebie, but then you can either buy a half if you want another. Folks deciding they don’t want to add another human sell and cash in.

Not my idea. Read it in a book. Just wanting to provoke the Christians a little :)

Gotta a lot of dudes posting here that have only banged one girl in their life and are pretending like that is awesome.
Perhaps it is. Very little to worry about if thats the chosen road.

I once heard it compared to eating at a golden corral buffet where everyone sticks their filthy hands in the food versus a fresh home cooked meal right out of the garden.

It's it religion or the people explaining/teaching religion in a poor way?

You're allowed to golf on Sunday's btw. The fact that you think you "shouldn't" explains a decent amount. I don't mean that as a dig to you, just what you were apparently taught or implied.

Hey man, I just like tee times when others are in church. Little cooler, greens are a little more forgiving than Sunday afternoons… less people on the course, get more attention from the BevCart…
