Fran being a douche yet again

That's what people do. Look no further than American politics.

I guess. You would think the here is a limit somewhere, but if Fran isn’t too much, that limit just must not exist for those people.

Look no further than the American presidency. Fran is a cupcake compared to the last guy. And 60 million voted for him.

"But his players love him!!!!!!!!!"
Such stupid logic....
They do. That’s why I posted those two examples. Not to condone his antics because they have become nauseating to many, many Iowa fans. The constant on this board is “how can his players stand him”. His players see it differently than you or I.

More evidence is the lack of guys transferring out. At least, guys capable of playing high level basketball. Isaiah Moss would be an example of a guy that left and started at Kansas. Joe Touissant left to get more minutes in his senior year. Jack Nunge went to Xavier to be closer to home once his dad passed away. CJ moved onto a blue blood. Can’t blame Fran for that. That’s the list over 13 seasons.

What are the symptoms of Stockholm syndrome?
  • Positive feelings toward the captors or abusers.
  • Sympathy for their captors' beliefs and behaviors.
  • Negative feelings toward police or other authority figures.

Steve Forbes is a GREAT coach....I hope Iowa keeps Fran...PLUS....how much of their soul would ND sell to TAKE Fran?

I don't care much for Fran, but honestly his outbursts are no more of an insult to the game than Tom Izzo bawling like a baby from the opening tip, Juwan Howard complaining all the time or Bobby Hurley acting like a completely unhinged asshole every time a call doesn't go his way.

College basketball has decided it will tolerate this from high-profile power coaches. So when someone like McCaffery - over whom the media doesn't slobber nearly as much - engages in the same behavior, what can they do about it? Either draw a line in the sand for all coaches, or none of them. Don't pick and choose based on who is or is not a media darling.

Maybe his players like playing for him but unfortunately the players take on the similar behavior of their coach. Watching his sons on the court react to every whistle called on them by throwing their arms up and making verbal comments to every ref in the league displays their upbringing. And Rebraca and Perkins have shown that same type of whining to the refs constantly. Reflection of their coach. Thank goodness Murray has excellent behavior on the court. Compliments to his father and not Fran. Dr. Tom Davis was a class act representing the University of Iowa for years until he was shown the door. And he made the sweet sixteen many times. Something Fran hasn't sniffed.

Hurley can be pretty bad, but Fran is on a completely different level than those guys or any other college coach. It is just idiotic and embarrassing, like a spoiled little toddler. How anyone can be OK with his antics is just beyond me.

izzo is a colossal blowhard douche

he may not be the president of the HOA like francis, but he's absolutely a resident in the neighborhood

The thing that sucks is that they came back to win that game. But the game should have been over right there with two T's, ejection, FT's for MSU.

Basically, he was "rewarded" for bad behavior instead of getting a consequence like he should have.
Guarantee you IF a visiting coach had done that he would have been tossed. Refs were nutless
