I don't care how much he's paid. Doesn't change my expectations one bit. I expect him to win as in having winning seasons every year the first year he gets here. I expect him to be able to compete for conference championships by year 3 and every year after. These are the same expectations I have for any new Nebraska head coach.Are you serious? Dantonio makes 4.3M. 1.5M more than James Franklin. .5M more than Tom Herman. etc. That would make Frost one of the top ten paid head coaches in all of football. Too bad Tom wouldn't have paid up like that for Peterson back 10 years ago.....

Ha. Good question. I don't know any of our significant boosters. So I do not know what kind of people they are or what they might be saying to Moos. It could be anywhere on the range from "oh please Mr. Moos, can you offer Frost?" to "look you interloping asshole, hire Scott Frost or we will eat your children."

LoL LMFAO is laughing my f'n a$$ off. i was laughing because 2m plus 6m for a regular season undefeated then 500k for ccg plus plus another 1m for natty so in a national title winning year he would stand to make 9.5m that is what got me laughing not that 9.5 wouldnt be worth a natty to most husker fans, anything short of that and it would make 9 or 8 8.5 seem way way over paid

Sometimes, with hard work and good intentions, the stars just line up for people. They certainly appear to be doing so for Frost. I'm extremely happy for him...regardless where he ends up. Good on him!

One thought..I don't care what the next coach makes. Capt Kirk takes crap for his salary from Nebraska AND Iowa fans. But he keeps the wheels the program and does have stretches of great football - like beating tOSU's REARS a few weeks after they boat raced the Huskers in Lincoln. If takes a fat check to get Frost - do it. (Not to mention we start getting the full BTN share so the bank account has some extra cha-ching coming).
I agree. Except Farentz has lost at least 5 games 6 of the past 7 years. Nebraska fans would run that coach out of town quick.
Capt. Kirk would not pass the Pelini litmus test...BUT also is not a giant ahole like Pelini so he probably would get alot more leeway based on actually playing some meaningful games. 9-5 if you played in the CCG and lost the bowl game to a good SEC team is alot different than 8-5 and squeaked out 2 late wins to save the season and got a cupcake bowl game win.
Yes, patience. If he focuses on getting them to lift weights and speed exercises, above and beyond
It is more of, "hey we are your boosters and we want Frost, be willing to pich in some for him, otherwise we may just start losing interest and the money we've been spending will shrink."
