Coaching Carousel

I feel like Oregon is a better job than AM.

But if someone is gonna maybe double your salary...
Over time, the rankings of what is a good job should shift. I think chance of actually winning will have a greater weight in all of this. (I’m talking about how coaches would rank the jobs, not the media and fans)

I think so too

I would guess the age of the coach might come into play.

If I was 38 and had a chance to make 11 million a year at AM or 7 million a year at Oregon, I am taking the money.

Boise State should be death penalty'd for that god awful field.

Michigan State probably goes offensive mind. Will try to blank check LL, but he's smart enough to know he can't win in the B1G.

Chadwell would be a cool hire for Miss. St. I'd be really interested to see how his offense does in the SEC

Northwestern is retarded if they don't elevate Braun to HC. Look no further than NDST's record this year to see how great of a coach he is. As a matter of fact, doesn't he have a better record than Deion?

Texas A&M needs to swing for the fences on Lanning. offer him $15mil, force him to say no to the most lucrative contract in CFB history. they'll probably settle for Elko, but if their expectations are to compete for SEC Championships (read: National Championships), then i don't think he's the right guy. Lanning is what stupid people think Deion is.

Good assessment. Lanning is going nowhere.

He now has Big Ten $$$$$$$. Agree with you on Braun. Wisconsin-born. D-2 player in Minnesota. Coached at Northern Iowa for a spell. Midwest guy all the way. Works well for Northwestern.

Wouldn't Oregon be able to match anything Texas A&M offers?

The Dave Amanda stint at Baylor….. what all from grace. Kind of sad. Not sad because all the money he is making, or what he will make if fired but just sad.

He was considered a genius DC at Wisconsin and a great recruiter. UW paid him squat so he goes money….to LSU.. Wins the championship with Burrow and superior athletes in Baton Rouge. . .

Hired at Baylor after the Broyles S-show and goes:

2-7 (Covid)
12-2
6-7
3-7

If Baylor I have to give him one more year, but won’t be surprised if he is fired this year. He is considered a great guy and a players coach, with tough discipline, according to my Wisconsin connections. Badgers would be glad to get him back.

Worth the conversation but I doubt Oregon (Phil Knight) is going to lose a bidding war the year they enter a new conference.

Wow. That’s surprising. He was 8-4 in 2021 and 9-4 last year. He’s 6-4 this year. I’m not sure they can find anyone who’ll do better.
I sort of agree BUT I think with the new money they will be pulling in, they are happy to make a move.

I also do not think they can find anyone better and I also think UCLA needs to realize how lame they have been at football for pretty much 75 years.
