I noticed that too. But I do wonder if the listing order means something. Rahmir is listed first. I think that might mean something.
There are a few interesting ones:
Safety - Bretz & Derek Branch???? (Who is Branch)
Guard - Knaak at guard (Probably a good move as it seemed just lacked somehting at tackle)
Rover - Rahmir Stewart (Interesting as you just never heard his name pop up)

Year Three!
Hoping to see Rahmir Johnson finally remain healthy and have a breakout year.
Alex Bullock and Malachi Coleman were starting at WR at the end of last year. Both are 3rd string. Really hopeful that the upgrade in WR talent is a difference maker this year
WR and QB should be a nice duo. Dylan doesn't often miss short on long throws so just let it fly and land some huge chunk yards, in addition to clearing the underneath/screen routes.
LT is Corcoran and a redshirt walk-on freshman. No sure what I expected to see there behind Corcoran, but there's not enough kool-aid to feel good about that.

Coach Matt Rhule Press Conference Notes - Week 1 vs. UTEP -Excited to play a home game and UTEP-Coach has known UTEP’s HC for a while-“We’ve worked very hard to get to this day”-Was hoping the RB battle would be more dialed down at this point, but will determine who the true RB1 is closer to Big Ten play-Janiran Bonner is tough and a winner, he will do a lot of things, versatility wise-Will be interesting how the offense handles different defensive fronts-“I’d rather lose the first game than the last game, we’re going to play” - when talking about Dylan Raiola’s mindset going into the first game-“How we’d want him to play when he’s a junior, we’re going to start day 1 that way”-Blye Hill came back from his knee injury, then got some soreness in his hamstring. Hope he can show something this year. To date, IGC's Husker career peaked 2 minutes into his first game with the TD catch on the first series of the season again NW in Ireland.
7 senior starters on defense, 7 senior starters on offense. On special teams, KR, PR and punter are seniors. 4 out of 5 OL and both starting WRs are seniors.
All those seniors and what, like 15 wins in their entire long-ass career? I'm not looking it up, that would be too depressing. Dammit, I'm trying to be positive here!
I think its more that. Rahmir was not repping with the 1s as much as the others from what I observed. But it might have been some package stuff more than anything else so who knows. His frame just doesn't set up well for an every down back. I see those others carrying the brunt of the load on early downs.
I’m in agreement with you but let’s give him a little more time as a true Freshman on him getting playing time later in the season..
I don't think you're being negative, I think its just the truth. NU had 4 years of very little improvement in many players, in fact, last year was the first year some of those guys began to show some promise.
If the Ty Robinsons, Benharts, Nash, Jamari, Rahmir, etc etc etc can show that same level of improvement this year, NU may have a chance to do something.
I've never been impressed with Ty, but I do wonder had he gone to Bama what he might have been like by last year? He would have either been riding the pine, or terrorizing offenses. One or the other.
Only way I like to see 4 co-#1 RB's are when their names are Lawrence-Mike-Ahmann-Ameer.

It’s the first game of the rest of Nebraska’s life. It has a quarterback, it has the coaching in place, it has the team that’s been building enough to start making some noise. UTEP has a new head man in Scotty Walden who’s going to crank up the tempo of the offense with a new group of players in a fun style that might be sneaky-good in Conference USA play.
Why UTEP Will Win
The new offense will keep on pushing. At Austin Peay, Walden’s offense was ultra-efficient, had a ground game, and found ways to keep everything moving. The receiving corps coming in from the transfer portal is strong, the O line is okay, and it’s all around a defense that was the best in Conference USA last season. Yeah, it’ll take something special to pull this off, but there might be just enough pieces in place to be pesky.
Why Nebraska Will Win
Let’s go, Dylan Raiola. All that’s expected out of the freshman quarterback is everything. The Nebraska offense should be far better behind an improved line that should give Raiola and company time to work. And even if this bunch struggles, it has the defense to pick up the slack. Yeah, the UTEP offense should be far better, but it’s going to take a little bit. The Husker front three should be a wall against the Miner ground game, and the deep linebacking corps should take over against the midrange throws.
Nebraska vs UTEP: Who Will Win
UTEP will be fun, and everyone will see what’s coming as the season goes on, but the excitement and the energy from the Nebraska crowd will come through in a strong all-around performance. It won’t be perfect, but it’ll be a win on Opening Day for the first time since 2019.

It doesn't appear to be far off to speculate that both quarterbacks could see playing time on Saturday, even with a starter named. With stout veteran running backs like Jevon Jackson and hybrid Kam Thomas, I expect this team to lean on the run. On defense, they will have to try and make the freshman look like a freshman. It's an uphill battle for UTEP in the trenches against Nebraska and that's where this one will be won. Let's see if the Miner offense can get some points on the board.

On the RBs - Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but haven't heard any mention of Kwinten Ives? Given that he redshirted last year despite all the injuries and having to play WR at RB, and this year can't crack the 4 deep behind the injury prone upper classmen and the transfer RB, makes me think he's going to get recruited over and may be portal bound after the season.
It was nuts to think when it was Phillips - Benning - Childs - Green - Sims. That backfield was insane. Come on OMAHA! Start producing again.
No idea. It's crazy to me to think that the last decent Omaha running back was David Horne and he was just kinda meh. I might be missing someone, but boy we have no had any good RB's out of the state in a long time.
Tackles are an obvious concern. But I would guess that Scott (who’s started at RT before) or Mazzucca would kick out to tackle if needed before a walk on redshirt freshman.
