not many proposals have the terms never or ever. at least the ones i have been party to all have had an out clause. in football at clemson and fsu we hear the term "exit fees." one would presume the same for a new configuration like this rudy proposal. that would be part of contract language which is way down the road.

i'm giving you reasons why the fundamentals here do not make sense. in this country, parties cannot collude to restrict competition. the only reason these two despots can is because college athletics, on the premise of university academic extensions, are free from anti-trust law. well, this is now a billion dollar industry with paid employees. it's no longer about student-athletes. it's about commerce. and it will soon be regulated accordingly.
And yet if it was three "despots" instead of just two, you would not be crying about it at all. You are so absolutely full of crap, it's pouring out of your ears.

It is not restricting competition. Just different organizations . It is no different than NCAA and NAIA. If they create a different organization and seperate from NCAA it’s not illegal. Just a reminder if K state hadn’t been so willing to adhere to everything. The university of Texas wanted in the early years of the big 12 then they won’t be in this situation right now. Missouri, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Colorado all figured out they need to leave for a better situation and yes, Colorado decided to return. But look where that allegiance to the university of Texas got the rest of you left high and dry right now it’s your own fault. Also, you want this 70 team league but what about the other 65 or so FBS schools it’s OK to leave them out?

i worked a quarter century for chevron. in what they called 'charm school,' we took a course in the ethics of business and why cheating never pays in america. over my time there in management, i had scores of schooling about not cheating. does it happen, sure. but not because it's planned, intended, or acceptable. i have been in the army (drafted)/vietnam, worked for the oil company, a nuclear engineering company, held public office, and did a tour in the college classroom. i've never found a place as ethical as chevron.
