Spring Game

Let’s have a Sell Out for the Spring Game again!

Our complete Clan and a few Friends will be there! About 30. General Public tickets available on February 1st.

I grew up with the Corn Huskers and they were our team. We’ve had ownership. As Fans, we’ve had a role to play just as Coaches and Players did. And that was to show up and support them.

And Win or Lose, treat the other Team and their Fans with Class.

My kids and Downline Family were brought up the same way. I told my future Son-in-Laws they didn’t have to be Lutheran but they would be Huskers. And they are, tattoos and all. The one that wasn’t, he’s gone. 😊

We just finished my 60th season in the stadium, hope I have a few more in me.

Who else will be going?

"You didn't choose me, but I chose you." As Rhule puts 101 guys on scholarship. 😉

Coach Rhule is very savvy. I think he'll be as ruthless as Deion and his, "jump in the portal" rhetoric. The big difference is, he's going to kill you with kindness. He'll observe, take it all in, and cut you with a knife. If you aren't willing to compete. Deion is going to have problems. He's going to get dudes, but the buy in is going to be 50-50.

Football In-staff competition one of driving forces in Nebraska recruiting surge

Nebraska has brought in one of the best transfer portal hauls in the country and jumped from outside the top 60 in the Class of 2023 recruiting rankings and into the top 25.

One of the driving forces in that effort? In-staff competition among the program’s new leaders.

***New Commit*** Nebraska lands four commitments: Hood, Bell, Charles, Smith Flores

Arlington Martin (Texas) 2023 TE Ismael Smith Flores has committed to Nebraska.

Smith Flores is a Hawkeyes legacy recruit whose parents both graduated from Iowa. His father, Leroy Smith, was an All-American who still holds the Big Ten single-season sacks record and is in the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame. His godfather, Danan Hughes, is still third on Iowa’s all-time receiving yards list and tied for second for career reception TDs.

Still, the Huskers landed him behind an effort led by TE coach Bob Wager, who was Smith Flores’ head coach at Arlington Martin.
