The importance of a getting a degree.

With only 37% to 41% of portal players landing at new colleges I reccomend that most of them get a degree first before leaving what they have a free education. While there are certainly some good players in the portal a majority of them are backup type of players.

I believe for a majority of the players entering the portal their playing days are about over.

A million dollars for every 5 star basketball player that comes here with built in incentives for B1G title, tourney wins etc! Been watching this shit show for 40 years now! Enough is enough! Leading 50-48 with 9 minutes left and lose 72-56!! Why do we have to be the laughing stalk of college basketball year in and year out? The winters are boring as hell in this state. If we could at least have some semblance of a Bball team, would be fricking nice!

OT: Thunder Sleet

Well, I've now experienced thunder sleet. Unreal. I actually tried to make it to work. There are wrecked pickups all over town. I drove 30 minutes in Arlington and still hadn't made it to a highway. The radio said almost all overpasses/bridges were shut down. Freaking nuts. It just started pouring down more sleet. I think I was the only one out in my neighborhood. I just called in and turned around and went home. LOL

I was catching up on the news on channel 7's website and saw something on their front page that made me sad.

"Teen idol David Cassidy dies"

I immediately looked up a couple of my favorite songs and posted them to the What are you listening to thread.

I mentioned it to a coworker and he told me it was a while ago that he died. WTH?!

Nice work channel 7! I don't need help looking stupid or out of touch!

This is an odd request but I’m odd … the two years i coached basketball in Campbell(75-77) we played Hildrith Bladen Roseland Ruskin Deshler Guide Rock Trumbull Blue Hill( think) Nelson Davenport… maybe some more … I looked up Ruskin tonight ….123 people! Obviously no high school there…..so my question… there seems to be a ton of consolidated schools… I don’t know who goes with who… just for my own edification, can you give me some examples? Thanks…..odd I know
