Football Butler on the radio: Readjusting eyes and taking the "small victories"

John Butler needed to readjust his eyes when going from coaching NFL players to college kids, but not lower expectations. Never do that.

On development he sees and the moment when it triggers for the players.

"It's like fishing — I got the hook in 'em."

Wisconsin prediction thread

Have not seen a prediction thread yet and I am bored so thought I would start one. Wisconsin’s defense scares me. If they can hold Oregon to 16 then can hold us to … shit … almost nothing. Fortunately their offense is almost as bad as ours. Game is also in Lincoln.

Something in my gut says we win.
But my gut is wrong I think.

LF...Basketball: Neb vs Ill

My wife had mentioned she wanted to go to the Illinois game for her birthday. Does anyone have 2 halfway season tickets they wouldn't mind selling me? Figured this would be better than paying Ticketmaster fee's.

It's a Thursday night game 1/30, sounds cold and you would probably rather watch it on your couch. Cough, cough.

Please let me know if any available.

Ok, back to football. GBR.

Basketball Game coverage from Nebraska's win at No. 14 Creighton

Big win.

Here's the three quick thoughts story:

And here's the game story with quotes from Fred Hoiberg, Juwan Gary and Connor Essegian. Video of the press conference is inside, too:

Calling all crybabies come thank Fred for beating Creighton again. Come on in Preacher & Choir

Come on in here and say, "Good job, Fred."

Where is The Preacher? Where is The Choir?

Waiting to hear from all you Husker "fans" that love to see us lose so you can post ad nauseam.

Loved watching the KALK BURNER get shut down in his 8th year as a 7'5" basketball player. Holy Whites, Creighton. Where are your boosters? Rolly Wooster was out there looking like a Banty Rooster bullying your guards around. Looking like a placekicker for Midland but coming back to Lincoln with the W.

Liking how big our team looks now. Controlling the glass. Controlling the Kalkmeister. Not even the bailout reffing could keep it close for the Clarkjays today. Enjoy that upcoming schedule Creighton.

This game was a good tuneup for playing in the #1 conference in the country.

Huskers QB commit TJ Lateef finishing prep career in style, ready to compete at Nebraska

Lateef's HS team is 8-3 and ranked 16th nationally. He's having a good senior year and is ready to compete for the QB job when he gets here.

"Of Raiola, Lateef said, 'I respect Dylan. He’s a great football player. But my time is going to come. I’ll go in and compete and let the rest play out. One thing about me, I’m not going to duck competition. He’s a great football player. But I am, too.'”

Mazzccua at Right Guard

There was so much excitement about our run game early on. Mazzccua seemed to be our best player upfront at RG. Suddenly he stopped playing all together and now only plays at Tackle. The run game seems to have stalled since he stopped starting at Guard.

What happened to Mazzccua at RG?

Could he help give the run game a spark if he moved back to Guard?

Is Lutovsky really better than him?

Mazzccua doing work!
