Rhule flying in and putting up last year's seniors on his own dime...

...To the bowl game to show his appreciation. What a classy move by a classy dude in an era (both in CFB and generally) when "what have you done for me lately" couldn't be more prevalent. If karma is real he will get this football program back to the mountaintop. Especially considering how a lot of outgoing seniors are looked at as used goods by a lot of first year head coaches. Rhule acted (and continues to act) like he coached them since peewee football.

The results in the W/L column will be what they'll be, but I continue to be amazed and thankful for how good of representative Rhule is for the football program and state. It's a rare thing.

Portal

We need to start getting some OL in the portal that are difference makers, all these guys at QB, WR are great but what good are they if there is no one to block for them. Surprised we didn't throw everything we had in NIL at all the best OL in the portal, maybe we did, and we just struck out but man it's not looking great losing 2 guys to Missouri. What are our chances with the remaining guys that have visited?

Debt

I am not making this political because it really isn't every person that has served in Washington D.C. has their fingerprints on this because they either voted to make it worse time and time again or weren't able to stop it when they promised to do so. This isn't either party it's both of them. Statement made here it is.

Volleyball Game Thread ***VB FINAL: Penn State reverse sweeps Nebraska in Final Four to end Huskers’ season***

MOD UPDATE:

FINAL
Penn State reverse sweeps Nebraska in the Final Four (23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 28-26, 15-13) to end the Huskers’ season. Nittany Lions (34-2) will face Louisville (30-5) in Sunday’s national championship match (2 p.m. CT on ABC).

Nebraska held a 22-16 lead in Set 4 and later had match point twice at 24-22 and 24-23. Instead, the Huskers couldn’t close it out and see their season end with a 33-3 record.

Nebraska also fought off two straight match points down 14-11 in Set 5 but still fell one step short of a second straight appearance in the national title match.

It's Nebraska's first reverse-sweep loss in the NCAA VB Tournament since 1982. Penn State makes its first appearance in the national title match since winning it all in 2014.

Final Four results
1 Louisville def. 1 Pitt, 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 29-27, 25-17)
1 Penn State def. 1 Nebraska, 3-2 (23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 28-26, 15-13)

Pitt had a chance to close out Set 3 with two set points (24-23 and 25-24). Nebraska had a chance to close it all out in Set 4 with two match points. Both failed to do so.

@stan raymond ... Pittsburgh looks as good as you called early before the tournament started

I never knew this NFL rule existed.

Something happened in an NFL game last night that hasn’t happened since 1976. The LA Chargers completed a fair catch kick. According to NFL rules, if a player makes a fair catch, his team may attempt an unchallenged kick from the spot rather than begin its next possession. If the kick goes through the goalposts, it's worth three points, just like a field goal. The Chargers got a chance to take advantage of the rule when the Broncos were penalized for fair catch interference with under 10 seconds remaining in the first half.

The 15-yard penalty gave Los Angeles the football on Denver’s 47-yard line. After the two teams exchanged timeouts, the Chargers trotted out Cameron Dicker for the 57-yard, fair-catch kick. Dicker knocked the football through the uprights for the first successful fair-catch kick in 48 years, and the longest converted fair-catch kick in NFL history.

I copied and pasted this, so my apologies for the sloppiness.
