Arrowhead Info

Going against everything I believe in (Colts fan), but taking my son to the Thursday night game against the Ravens. Looking to stay at hotel in the downtown area. Best just to take Uber or are there other methods of transportation to get to/from the stadium. Never been to KC so would be open to any other suggestions anyone has. Thanks in advance and I'm nervous to see what some of the responses are.

Football Back from injury, safety DeShon Singleton isn't taking anything for granted

It was friendly fire that ended DeShon Singleton's season early in 2023. A counter blocking scheme to his side he'll likely never forget.

But the physical 6-foot-3, 210-pound safety is back and starting to feel like himself again, running with the first-team defense while trying to keep pace with new DBs coach John Butler. Singleton's rehab wasn't easy, but he has a good head on his shoulders, which helped with the setbacks that popped up.

“You’re looking in a dark tunnel and you don’t know what’s on the other side, so now you just have to persevere and be consistent in everything you’re doing and just go head-first into it. That’s what I really did with my rehab.”

Football Player Takeaways: MJ Sherman, Cam Lenhardt, Malcolm Hartzog

Planning on doing these for day-after follow-up coverage from fall camp pressers: Player Takeaways with the most interesting thing that stood out from three of the players made available.

Today’s subjects:
👉 MJ Sherman rattles off the updated list of Jacks and heaps praise on the defensive analyst in charge of the position: A guy named Jack because of course that’s his name.

👉 Cam Lenhardt on the D-line’s emphasis of getting home with four + the NFL’s elite pass rushers the DL studied this summer.

👉 Very, very brief note on the Malcolm Hartzog is repping in preseason practice.

Football Blackshirts bolstering depth in pursuit of owning nation's best defense

Quick-fire breakdown with @TimVerghese

We packed a ton of subjects into a Rapid Recap episode that you can hit play on as you wait for the shower to get warm and be done with the episode by the time you shut off the water.

👉 The Blackshirts bolstering their depth early on in training camp.

👉 Tweaks being explored in regard to the role and utilization of star defensive lineman Nash Hutmacher.

👉 The potentially dangerous one-two combination of Jimari Butler and Cam Lenhardt.

👉 A projection for true freshmen Keona Davis and David Hoffken in their first college season.

👉 Nebraska's search for the second outside cornerback who will start opposite Tommi Hill. That No. 2 CB spot was filled by a familiar face at practice over the weekend.

👉 And, of course, the biggest news of the week: A season-ending injury to LT Teddy Prochazka, in addition to a season-ender for LB Roger Gradney.

Football While the deal was fast, John Butler is fine — it's not his first rodeo

Excellent stuff today from John Butler, Nebraska's secondary coach and pass game coordinator.

Challenges to the fast transition? Butler doesn’t see there being many. His experience helps with that — he's been doing this stuff since 1995.

“Thirty years of doing this, this isn't my first rodeo.”

Football Same Face, New Place: Photos of Husker freshmen, newcomers & weight changes

Nonetheless, here's a bunch of photos from Saturday night's open portion of practice featuring a host of true freshmen, newcomers, some Huskers who underwent some impressive physical changes and the QBs. Lots of photos of the QBs:
