Two recently offered 2027 DL eyeing visit next month

Nebraska offered 2027 Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington defensive linemen Dawayne Jones and Joseph Graves earlier today. They both plan to visit for the UCLA game next month.

Jones tells me he’s a big fan of the way Matt Rhule runs his program and says Terrance Knighton is a “favorite” of his.

Basketball ***Live Thread: Nebrasketball preseason scrimmage

Might as well start a thread on Nebraska's preseason scrimmage at the Bob Devaney Center. Tip is slated for 2 p.m. No live stream today, but there will be the normal radio call with Kent Pavelka and Jake Muhleisen.

In case you missed it, here's a preview of the scrimmage:

Refs didn't get the memo for OSU - Oregon game?

Does that game put to bed the conspiracy theory? OG B1G highly rated undefeated darling against the noobie. Game certainly close enough for the refs to impact the outcome without raising many eyebrows. If ever there was a setup for it, it was that game. Is it possible the B1G just has shite refs across the board and sometimes we're on the short end and sometimes others are? I was actually starting to buy into the conspiracy, but that OSU/OU game last night pretty much shot it all to hell.

LSU TD

Another example of the Big ten screwing Nebraska. Everybody remembers the dual catch against Illinois where we landed on the ground and the Illinois player ripped the ball away. Last night when the LSU player dove for the goal line, crossed the goal line with the football but when he landed the ball bounced out of his hands. They ruled it a touchdown and the rules expert said it doesn't matter once the ball crosses the goal line and lands on the ground it's an automatic touchdown no matter what happens after that. Fk Big 10

I know we like to freak out on here...

...but dang the "we beat them by X and someone else beat them by Y" just doesn't work.

Minnesota beat USC, definitely unexpected. Now Minnesota is down to UCLA late in the 4th.

Is UCLA better than USC? But PSU needed overtime (and some help from the zebras) to beat USC, does that mean UCLA (or Minnesota) would beat PSU?

The reality is that besides maybe Oregon or tOSU in this conference, anyone can lose to anyone any day. We had a terrible game offensively (and special teams) on a super windy afternoon against Rutgers then they follow up and play terrible against Wiscy. Sure, that can make it look like an outsized difference between us and Wiscy.

Old Dominion beat Georgia State...who beat Vandy...who beat Bama...who beat Georgia. Old Dominion would DOMINATE Georgia!

It's week to week whether or not anyone can win.

It is amazing how irrelevant Big 12 and ACC games are

Now that it is the power 2.

I am sure I am missing a game or two. But when was the last must see game between an ACC or Big 12 team. Outside of CU, and that has more to do with off field factors. And Iowa State is undefeated and probably looking at a top 10 ranking, and no one takes them seriously. When the top level of those conferences play a top level BIG or SEC team it is treated like a mid level BIG or SEC team playing.

Money, NIL and the portal is just going to keep making this divide even bigger. And remember the people on here saying we should have stayed in the Big 12? Yes, me too. And how it would be easier to get in the playoffs. I am wrong a lot. But I was right on that. No way the BIG or SEC was going to let a 9-3 or certainly a 10-2 Nebraska, Michigan State, Ole Miss or Florida not make the playoffs for a 11-1 Iowa State that didn’t win their conference.

And I always feel I need to make this disclaimer. I would love to go back to the Big 8, SWC and a real PAC 10. But until someone flux capacitor to take us back it isn’t happening.

Just glad we have a seat at the BIG Boy table. Make fun of TO for not wanting beer in Memorial Stadium. Or being against gambling. Or meddling or what ever. Without him, not only do we not enjoy the 80’s and 90’s. We are sitting at the little kid’s table.
