Charlie McBride's D

when Osborne retired, the entire 90s did not retire with him. one-half of the 90s teams continued for 2 more years: Charlie McBride and his suffocating, relentless, game-winning Blackshirts. this game vs A&M is a good example: NU had all the offensive talent in the world, including a great offensive line, speed and power at skill positions, and a future heisman winner. yet watch how Charlie's defense bails the inept offense out again and again.
Login to view embedded media by halftime, Charlie's D held A&M to 3 rushing yards, a total of 46 yards, caused 3 turnovers, 2 sacks, and led to 6 of NU's total 9 points. i miss that D almost as much as i miss Osborne's O.
