Spent the Holiday with family in Charleston. My oldest son E-7 and daughter in law surprised us with the announcement of their 3rd child due July 1... Woke up on Thursday morning and went to have
coffee and my youngest son LTJG was having a cup of coffee and he had arrived late Wed night from a 200 day deployment. Total surprise. First time the whole family was together for some time. Best Thanksgiving one could received.. To make things perfect we could get a great new coach, a win over Iowa, and 2 volleyball wins. Happy Holidays to all..

I dont know about the rest of you but I have not read any recruiting information or game information. I dont care about bold predictions(i know you guys have to do the articles) about the game, the roster, keys to winning. I just dont give a shit. I will watch and hope we beat those fkers and knock them out of title game(so i guess it isnt total apathy). But any other information other than who the coach is I am not reading any of it. Good hire and will back at it of course but not now or the last few weeks.

General rule of thumb is to cook the meat up to 140 degrees within 4 hours for safety. I know it can be dangerous to smoke meat for a long time between the 40-140 degrees “Danger Zone” so any advice for me without cranking the Temp up to 300 degrees for 4-5 hours and ruining the Turkey, would be greatly appreciated. 😀

Mitch was on 1620 this morning and basically said that Rhule is the main focus and that Trev feels comfortable where this is heading.. said that if the Rhule thing falls through Trev then may be going to his next option. Also said Rhule had the media stuff planned this week but definitely sounds like someone that wants to get back to coaching in his opinion..

I am still holding out hope on Rhule. I have heard through connections in the AD that it is him, but I am basically discounting all rumors at this point. Sherman has much better sources than me or this board one would think, so we will see what happens.

Obviously people under 30 have no memory of championship-level football being played at Nebraska, and that's a gigantic reason why we need the next coach to - at the VERY LEAST - stop the bleeding and get the program going in a positive direction. The fandom simply can't survive long-term without refilling with young people and getting passed down within families the way it was for decades and decades.

I joined this site half of my lifetime ago at this point, and I'm really curious just how steep the drop-off to younger generations has gotten.
