The road to the Big Ten title begins tonight for the Huskers, who need to win tonight against the Badgers to have a chance of a conference crown on Saturday. Nebraska hasn't beaten Wisconsin since 2017.

Unfortunately for the Huskers, they lost senior defensive specialist Kenzie Knuckles who suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this week in practice.

My grandfather that’s 82 was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Things aren’t looking so good as you could imagine. Has been a Husker fan forever. I called him after the game to congratulate him. He couldn’t have been happier with his Huskers on this day.

We talked about Rhule and the young players that show promise for Nebraska as if he would be watching them play next year. It brought the biggest smile to my face talking to him knowing that he was so happy. As much as we hate on each other, it’s just a game that none of us can control, not even the emotions. Thanks for all the banter this year. Go Hawks.

First, so I’m abundantly clear for the easily triggered, I’m not promoting MJ for HC.

Okay, my hot take is that if these exact staff changes happened before the season, giving Mickey and Busch a full offseason in their roles, we would have finished with at least six wins.

Depending on who Mickey would have brought in for OC, OL, and the rest of the staff, he could have won the West, especially if Casey stayed healthy.

Nebraska got its first win over Iowa nearly eight years to the day after its last victory over the Hawkeyes. Steve Marik and I break it down:

FYI - I don't say much...for what it's worth.

I wasn't a fan on Scott Frost being hired but hoped he had matured from his days in Lincoln from 95-97 and would get Nebraska in the right space - FAILED. When Bill Moos was hired an old grad school buddy of mine who played at WSU w/ Ryan Leaf and was apart of their game day radio broadcast team informed me that Bill loves to spend money and that's all he's good at - FAILED.

In sharing (after the fact), I hope the red flags brought to my attention from folks involved with the Panthers are a plus for the Huskers. The front office of the Panthers and franchise affiliates couldn't stand Matt because he was a control freak. NFL is different than College and I'm hoping this control freak trait is what helps move us forward... GBR

Here’s this week’s Turning Point, the last of the 2022 season.

Though I am pleased to beat Iowa, the game itself was nauseating. It reminded me of our Minnesota and Wisconsin games: Go ahead early and try to piss it away late. 24-0 is usually a comfortable lead, but I didn’t feel comfortable until the clock hit zeros in the fourth quarter.

The coaching search is out of my hands. Joseph, Rhule…whatever. I just want to get good again.

I deeply appreciate Mickey Joseph as a former player and for what he did to salvage Frost’s mess. I don’t know what he would do as head coach with a longer time frame. If it isn’t him, it would be awesome if he stayed on staff. If he does move on, I wish him nothing but success.

This season sucked, but I am glad the players kept fighting to the end.

Friday was heartbreaking.

There's almost no time to mourn. No. 9 Minnesota arrives Saturday night fresh off a win over No. 8 Ohio State.

Just had my Right Knee Replaced a week ago. I lost 80 lbs so they would do the surgery. Get to do the left one next year hopefully.

It's as bad, if not worse, than people said the pain would be. My knee is swelled up to the size of a basketball or it's the drugz, playing tricks on me. I'm only 50, don't think I'll be around when this one wears out.

Just needed to Bitch & Moan a little, even the dogz are avoiding me. I might be a tad Grumpy.

Most of their teams were successful FCS teams that made the jump to FBS. This conference has been improving every year over the last decade. Start looking for them to crash playoffs soon.
