Dannen Needs A Sixth Win!

I want to win six because we are going to start asking people for gifts,” Dannen said on Monday night’s episode of Sports Nightly. “(The stadium project) will cost a lot of money.”

Recruiting Update on Jeremiah Jones...

Nebraska has stayed proactive amidst Missouri's push to flip three-star athlete Jeremiah Jones away. Some in Columbia were expecting a flip announcement today, and now confidence has swung back in the Huskers' favor. As we reported yesterday, he's expected to visit Nebraska this weekend and there's growing momentum that visit will indeed happen. Door isn't shut on the Tigers just yet, and I wouldn't expect them to back down. Huskers had to flex a little NIL muscle against a program that's earned a reputation for being aggressive in that department. Certainly helps that Nebraska has stronger relationships with his family across the staff that Missouri does as well.

All that to say, as things stand, we're expecting Jeremiah Jones on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium tomorrow and that would be a very, very encouraging sign for the Huskers that they'll be able to get him signed and enrolled on campus.

Daily Nebraska Trivia/Fact: November 22

Fast-fact Friday:

“Nebraska women’s basketball player Kelsey Griffin helped the Huskers post the first perfect regular season in Big 12 Conference history in 2009-10. She finished her career with school records of 127 starts and 40 double-doubles, while ranking second in career rebounds (1,019) and third in points (2,033).

“The Huskers finished 29-0 in the regular season and went 30-0 before losing to Texas A&M in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals and later lost to Kentucky in the Sweet 16 to finish the season with a 32-2 record.”

Anyone been watching this? Honestly it's been seriously fun to watch.

Also highlights how terrible my game is because he almost never misses by more than 10 feet.

Recruiting 2026 four-star OT arriving in Nebraska tomorrow...

2026 Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha four-star offensive tackle Malakai Lee is flying into Nebraska tomorrow for a weekend visit. He's the top-ranked 2026 prospect out of Hawaii, offensive line coach Donovan Raiola has done good work here thus far but face stiff competition with the likes of Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee and Georgia involved.

Huskers are working to build the pipeline in Hawaii, landed offensive lineman Preston Taumau last cycle, have center Houston Kaahaaina-Torres committed this cycle and are trying to flip defensive back Aiden Manutai as well.

Holgorsen: Accountability...

Sounds like Holgorsen is holding players and some coaches to a degree accountable with his words.

If that is true, why do we need Rhule? Isn't that his job? I somewhat like Rhule and am on the fence as to whether he can get us "back" but how can after 22 games with MR, DH seems to be the one saying what we all think?

Rhule has a lot of BIG talk. Example "If we die we die". Is that actionable? Is it working? Not yet.

Which is it?
  1. Rhule does hold people accountable but needs a boost. Bringing in DH is his response to help hold coaches accountable (Satt and WR Coach).
  2. Rhule says a lot of cool stuff but his actions are not taking hold. And DH is a desperation ploy.
  3. Rhule is done playing around with players. He brings in DH to take action by ridding us of players that don't cut it. (Coleman)
  4. All of the above.
Hope is dangerous because it makes us see things that are not there. Hope is cruel. Hope makes us think the DH move might just work. Issue is great sports teams or businesses are created from the top down. Sure great players and employees are the lifeblood but success needs great long term leadership.

Maybe DH is the guy that can help MR get this on track but until he does, it's not working in Lincoln with Rhule. I hope this works, I really do.
