Basketball Charlotte transfer Brice Williams will visit Nebrasketball

I've been able to confirm that Nebraska will host former Charlotte guard Brice Williams this Friday to Sunday.

Williams is a 6-foot-7, 215-pound guard who spent the past four seasons with he 49ers, who just won the CBI championship. This past season Williams led Charlotte in scoring, averaging 13.8 points. He also averaged 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He was a second-team All-Conference USA selection and was the CBI Most Valuable Player.

Williams mostly came off the bench for Charlotte and started 13 of the 38 games. He played starter's minutes, though. Williams shot 39.7% from 3-point range on 4.1 attempts per game. He also shot 84% at the free-throw line.

Football Matt Rhule wants more Myles Farmers — here's why

"If I can get more and more of the other guys to do what Myles has done, we’ll have a chance to have a good team.”

Good stuff from Matt Rhule on Myles Farmer today. Here's more:

4-15 Second transfer portal. OT?

College football's second transfer portal window officially opens on April 15 and runs through April 30.
Nebraska: Help in the Trenches
New coach Matt Rhule already has one of the Big Ten's top portal classes with 11 additions, including quarterback Jeff Sims (Georgia Tech), receiver Billy Kemp IV (Virginia), tight end Arik Gilbert (Georgia) and a couple of offensive linemen. If Rhule finds the right fit, adding a body or two on the offensive line (especially at tackle) would fill a need. Texas A&M transfer Elijah Jeudy was a key get on the defensive side in the first window, but similar to the offense, the Cornhuskers could look for more help or depth in the trenches.

Football Three Takeaways: Barthel's "intense" style, Ervin's "running back menu"

Today's presser takeaways column focuses on Nebraska RB coach E.J. Barthel:

>>> His "intense" coaching style
>>> How Christian McCaffrey made him a better coach
>>> Working on Gabe Ervin Jr.'s "running back menu"

This is why chasing recruits is overrated... IMO

Football Practice Observations: April 4

We are going to get our third of four open practice windows this morning. But there are a couple notable changes:

1) We are getting a 30-minute open window today as opposed to the 40-minute window for each of the first two practices (8:15-8:45am)

2) Media has been asked to wait to post content until after the open practice portion has concluded. That includes any social media posts (tweets, photos, videos) and any live posts/threads.

So, once we are out of practice and have our observations written up, we’ll drop the story link in this thread before we meet with Ed Foley, E.J. Barthel and a few players for post-practice press conferences.
