Lawn mower Rec?

I went from a gas powered mower to the Green Works dual blade system. Run time is fine for my 1 acre yard but it cut uneven and doesn't seem to have the "suck" when mowing over long grass...its doesn't pull it up therefor it doesn't get cut. Its a crap mower.

Looking at going back to gas....I know Honda's are highly rated.

Any recs?

I'd love a wider cut than 21 inches but not mandatory. Trying to spend less than $1k

Recruiting Huskers Cookout recruit reaction [UPDATE: 7/31 2:56p]

The Huskers held a huge recruiting event on Sunday centered around a cookout for recruits and their families. There were almost 30 prospects scheduled to attend including all the in-state commits for 2024 and 2025. Priority offensive tackle target Grant Brix was also on campus for the event. So was 2025 QB target Alex Manske, 2025 WR target Andrew Marsh and several others. We'll break out some individual stories but will also use this thread for quick reaction from players that attended.

>> Class of 2024 walk on fullback Izaac Dickey was back on campus today.

"It was amazing, spent a ton of time getting to know the guys," Dickey said. "We went on a scavenger hunt, played games, then had some ribs and socialized. Then at the end we were taking a picture and had a water balloon fight."

Dickey said he certainly enjoyed the food. He ate brisket, ribs, cornbread, beans, and mac n cheese. One of the best parts of the day was spending more time with the other commits in the class.

"It feels like I’ve known them my whole life," Dickey said. "They are all really relaxed and it feels like a brotherhood. I drove down Saturday to eat with Nico’s [Ottomanelli] family then walked around with Nico and Jake [Peters] for awhile.

Dickey's favorite thing that happened this weekend was also building the bond with his future teammates.

"Socializing with everyone and getting to know them," Dickey said. "Also just sitting down with the coaches and talking life and allowing them to get to know our families."

>> Got a quick comment from 2025 Missouri offensive lineman Jack Lange. The Huskers offered him in June and he quickly made it back to campus.

"It was good! I had a really good time," Lange said.

I'm expecting full comments from Lange shortly and will update when I have more.

Just exchanged messages with 2025 Kansas OT Andrew Babalola.

The fast-rising prospect really enjoyed his time in Lincoln.

"The visit was great today," Babalola said. "My favorite part was the water balloon fight at the end. We were supposed to take a group photo and then we were just hit with a bunch of water, so that was fun."

The lineman said it was a lot of fun being around the other recruits and staff on campus. he likes Nebraska's staff a lot and enjoyed meeting other recruits. Babalola says he "definitely" plans to be back for a game in the fall. He's got his eye on the Week 3 game against Northern Illinois.

>> Nebraska's top QB target for 2025 was back on campus this weekend.

"It definitely means a lot knowing how good they think I am,” Manske said. “That's what they do for a job. They just evaluate quarterbacks and knowing that they have that high of an opinion of me it's definitely really nice. That makes me lean towards wanting to go there. When you know you got people you trust and people that really trust you and want to invest in you is really nice."

>> Omaha Westside 2025 linebacker Christian Jones was back on campus on Sunday.

"It was good! It was very interactive and set up very well," Jones said.

Jones is already familiar with many of the commits and local recruits that were in Lincoln. He knows most of them personally off the field so it was a good time to catch up with all of them. The highlight of the visit was similar to what we've heard from other recruits.

"Getting into a water balloon fight," Jones said. "It was a lot of fun."

Jones did say that he spent most of his time with linebackers coach Rob Dvoracek on Sunday. Their relationship is good and the pair talk every week. The four-star standout is being recruited hard by the other local players committed to Nebraska. He's certainly feeling the love from the Husker staff and players.

>> Caught up with 2025 Elkhorn North TE Chase Loftin. You'll be hearing a lot about him in the next year, he's next up in the tight end factory that Nebraska has become. He hit if off with Josh Martin this weekend.
