Curious to know your 2nd favorite stadium to see a game in the B1G and then any other team outside the conference?

Hands down, Virginia Tech in 2009. They had come to Lincoln the previous year and won. Every one of their fans raved about how well they were treated in Lincoln and were determined to make NU fans welcome. From the time I stepped into the bar on Friday afternoon, I did not have to buy a beer or any food all weekend. Didn't have time to visit all the tailgates we were invited to, and even walking to and from the stadium our group was asked to stop and enjoy a drink/food. They almost apologized for winning (NU blew it late) and begged us to come back again some time. Great, great weekend.

Within the conference? Probably Purdue, with Maryland or Illinois a close second. I haven't been to Rutgers, but I hear that both of their fans treat visitors well.

OU in the 80s. Treated with the utmost respect and friendship. Will always appreciate them for that
I would agree with the Oklahoma 80s . After their drop . The old fans left and the new were asshats . Went to the 2000 game with Crouch. the year OU won it all. We got ahead 14–0 they came back beat us like 31-17 . We were treated as bad as I have been treated excluding Colorado.

This probably doesn't count, but I interned at Rutgers is 2010. Got to see the stadium. Was a great time. "Birthplace of College Football"

I was at that VT game also Frank Beamer went on TV and Radio to urge the fans to do this . He said that Nebraska was the best place he ever took one of his teams as far as opposing fans .

Haven't been to Gameday nor since they joined the B1G, but experiencing NJ is like a whole nother world. It's so different than Nebraska, but yet there are small things that remind you of home.

Missouri 1985.
I really don't remember much about being IN the stadium other than being alone and surrounded by Tiger fans, and I was kind of intimidated.

But my group got to tailgate right outside the stadium pregame and then Dale Klein went 7 for 7 in FG's that day when our offense was sputtering.

Madison and College Station
I’ve heard from many that fans are jerks at Madison to opposing teams? I really like the city and the stadium (stopped bye while passing through during off-season). Glad you had a great experience.

I’ve heard college station is really quite amazing.

Favorite - LSU, fans and food

I’ve found that every fan base has knuckleheads in their 20s, I generally don’t judge a fan base by the behavior of 20 somethings.

Worst experience in order:

1. iowa - terrible fans, especially towards Nebraska football. I’ve never experienced a fan base that wants so much attention for a team that’s accomplished so little. Their behavior after last season’s game was abhorrent. The wave to the children’s hospital is cool, but iowa fans are attention whores about it.

2. Colorado

Illinois is great, I can see why the students don't go to the games because the pre-gaming is fantastic.

Purdue bar scene (the Breakfast Club) is a blast, loved it. The tailgating was great as well. Really fun time. @BoilerN will appreciate that. It was weird that you could not buy cold beer at gas stations but other than that, the breakfast club tradition is a great time.

I went to Madison in 2016. Loved the pre-game atmosphere and the vibe around town.

But once you get past halftime, the student section fills in, and for some reason a lot of Badger fans turn rather belligerent. That’s when it takes a turn for Mad-Town.

only seen then 2 times outside memorial stadium, lawrence when we were working on the building on the top of the hill..I think we beat them by 70, or hung 70 on them..

and when we played osu at arrowhead...

ISU, must’ve been Bo’s second year I think. Our cheerleaders were totally bundled up, but the ISU Cheerleaders were in skirts. I was like, God Bless ‘em.
Lubbock, yes it was the 70-10 beat down, but they were super cool before and after the game.
KU, thought the campus was pretty, fans were a little douchey though.

The B1G away games I’ve attended were in Madison, Ann Arbor, Minneapolis (x 2), Evanston, and of course with fellow Big 10 member USC at the Holiday Bowl in 2014.

I don’t know if I’ve had a more superb time than being at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Stadium was old and rusty, but USC fans were good tailgating, game was a shootout, weather was great. I can’t wait for them to join the Big 10.

Evanston was pretty fun in 2016, and being in Chicago for the weekend didn’t suck at all. Mostly quiet atmosphere overall.

Ann Arbor was fun in 2018. Michigan fans weren’t bad to us, but they beat the doors off of us.

Washington was a blast. Downtown Seattle was overrun by big red. Ran into a hammered T Frazier. Tailgated at a UW friends lot then walked along the sound to the stadium. Was impressed with how loud the stadium was, until the game got out of hand.
