Not to pile on but

Are we able to just release Simms from his scholarship after this year? Not sure how that works. Its obvious he should never play another snap this season let alone brought back next year, but if he wants to stay to finish his degree/get more NIL money what is the course of action? Im hoping he just transfers on his own, but if he doesnt we should be able to send him packing without it taking up a scholarship. Haarberg isnt any better but he would be nice to keep on the roster after he makes a position change, most likely to tight end.

More about NU on Peacock

FYI, we may want to hang onto our Peacock subscriptions a little longer...

"If you’re a basketball fan, there will be three men’s games this season that also will exclusively stream on Peacock: Oregon State on Nov. 18, Purdue on Jan. 9 and Ohio State on Jan. 23."

Portal QB.. what is your preference

Do you look for a proven player at a lower level or do you try for the highly recruited guy not playing at a marquis school? I know it depends on who the player is individually, but let's pretend we can get one of the better available from those 2 groups. Personally, I'd go for the proven player at a a lower division. I get that a lot of people will say "why not both" and if that is an option, I agree.
Second question, who are some of the potential options? I don't know a single thing about the guy at James Madison but what I saw on a single highlight play but damn that was a nice highlight.
