The coaches went after these PWOs and they chose DONU over other options. You can just toss them out and not give a crap, but I think they are being hosed. As I said, this wouldnt have been difficult to say “in four years”, not right away which screws kids who had no idea this would happen when they signed.
Also, you say wont play, but freshmen walk ons never play. Nebraska has had many develop and play, many have excelled. Now we’ll never know.
