Well, time to save some energy and get ready for next weeks..

We’ll fvck it up. 100%

If this staff couldn’t get this team prepared for Indiana off a bye, and couldn’t get them prepared for UCLA after an inspiring performance against OSU… Zero point zero reason to believe they’ll come out and play well against USC.

I’m sure Rhule will say that they need to stick to the process. But we’ve heard Pelini, Riley and Frost all say that same shit. How about you process some of these underperforming assistants and get some real professionals to replace them. That’s the process I want to see right now…
The Process is Matt being fired after next year. Knowing Nebraska's "process" he will be fired 6 years from now.

Well, time to save some energy and get ready for next weeks..

Satterfield gets an extension

Just watch, Satt will inexplicably have a good game in one of our last 3 (probably Wisconsin but who the fvck really knows 🤷‍♂️) We’ll get bowl eligible and Rhule will claim they’re turning the corner on offense 🤣 and he’ll keep and extend Satterfag.

And then we’ll predictably blow chunks on offense next year. I’m pretty much expecting this to happen…

Football Postgame Notes: UCLA at Nebraska

Postgame Notes: UCLA at Nebraska

- With the loss to UCLA, the all-time series with the Bruins is now tied at 7-7. Nebraska holds a 4-3 edge in games in Lincoln.

- Offensive tackle Bryce Benhart and defensive lineman Ty Robinson each appeared in their 56th career game today, tying the Nebraska record for career games played also held by defensive end Cameron Meredith (2008-2012)

- Benhart made his 50th career start today. Benhart is just the fifth Husker, and only the second non-kicker, to start 50 career games

- Sophomore running back Dante Dowdell scored on a four-yard TD run in the second quarter for his team-leading seventh touchdown of the season

- Freshman receiver Jacory Barney Jr. had a 40-yard reception in the second quarter to set up a Nebraska touchdown. It was the longest catch of Barney's career, bettering a 28-yard reception against Rutgers on Oct. 5

- Barney caught four passes for 78 yards in the game to increase his season receptions total to 38. Barney is just two catches shy of the Nebraska record for receptions by a true freshman, held by Wan'Dale Robinson, who had 40 catches in 2019

- Senior receiver Isaiah Neyor caught an 8-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. It was his team-leading fifth touchdown catch of the season and 17th of his career. Neyor caught four passes for 89 yards to increase his career receiving yardage total to 1,549.

- Punter Brian Buschini punted three times for a 55.7-yard average, including a 64-yard punt in the first quarter. The 64-yard punt was the eighth punt of at least 60 yards in his Nebraska career, including his fourth of the season

- Defensive lineman Ty Robinson had four tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss. Robinson now leads the team with 9.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks.

- Tight end Thomas Fidone II caught four passes for 16 yards. With his four receptions, Fidone increased his career total to 53 and became just the 11th tight end in program history with 50 career receptions.

- Safety Isaac Gifford had nine tackles in the game to increase his career total to 220. Gifford's career tackle total ranks fifth among Husker defensive backs.

- Linebacker John Bullock had eight tackles. Bullock increased his career tackles total to 105 with today's effort.

- Safety Marques Buford Jr. had four tackles to give him 103 career tackles.

- UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers had a 57-yard scramble, marking the longest run allowed by Nebraska this season

- UCLA was just the third opponent since the start of the 2023 season to score more than 14 points against Nebraska at Memorial Stadium (13 games)

- Today's game captains were TE Nate Boerkircher, WR Janiran Bonner, DE Cameron Lenhardt, and CB Ceyair Wright

“Baby Mahomes?”

I'm not saying he's shitting the bed but Big 10 defenses are different animals. They are throwing different packages and schemes at him and his production shows. I think this is as much on Satterfield for not putting him in a better spot to succeed. 10 sacks in two of the last 3 games is on Satt and Uncle Donovan.
I am saying he is shitting the bed. The talent is there, superstars overcome the shitty coaches and make things happen. As a QB who has been coddled his whole life, he is not mentally there, as his 2nd to last QB rating out of every power team in the nation over the last 6 games reflects.

28-0 at Half vs Colorado

Not to trot out coach speak or trite sayings, but development is almost never a linear thing. DR has some things going on in his mental approach that aren't good. Add the fact that his OC refuses to help him by running the ball, and now ever DC in the conference knows to just blitz him and he can't handle it. The CU game seems like a long time ago.

What teams are doing against Riaola is not complicated at all. They’re just sending 5-6 guys on every passing down and trying to mix up where they’re coming from. The fact that Satt (and Rhule) can’t prepare Dylan and have a plan against the blitz is straight up disturbing. I don’t expect DR to be Peyton Manning against the blitz, but I expect to see some improvement. And I’d like to see something that resembles a purposeful strategy to combat the blitz. This isn’t the 1st game where the opposing defenses blitz packages confused and harassed DR.

I just cant get my head around it

Can anyone explain to me how Nebraska has more history, money, legacy, National Championships, better facilities, I can go on and on then 90 percent of all college football. However, teams like Indiana can turn a team around in 1 year. We have been trying to turn NU around for 20 years or more, yet we cannot even make a bowl game. I really think the answer lies deeper then just coaches and football. I think the entire administration is a complete mess. We have way too many folks going opposite directions. I am just curious if anyone else has insight why NU just cannot turn the corner. Maybe is the curse of Solich!

“Baby Mahomes?”

The Mahomes bullshit is getting old very quickly. Dylan needs two things: Coaching and being your own person. He is not what we thought he was. However, the talent is there for the right person to bring it out. Until then, we have "turned two shitty teams around and then bailed Matthew Rhule" or getting some real coaching at another school. He bails in 1 year, if not this year and realizes the mistake that he made. Good luck to him.
