Not sure I give a shit about the eternal 7-5 or 8-4 Kirk Ferentz football team.

They accept complete mediocrity and occasional Top 25 appearances.

We suck. But being Iowa suck is a whole other level of suck and cope.

Dude is in his 25th season as head coach, is 201-122 and has never won an outright B10 Championship and never even finished in the Top 10 of the polls at the end of any season.

There is suck, and then there is accepting 25 years of mediocre results at best and bragging about it suck.
8-4 doesn't suck. Being the only team in Power 5 that cannot quality for one of the 43 bowl games for 10 years straight? That sucks.

Iowa

None of you realize it takes at least 3 years to build a program and see progress!

What else have we heard...culture change...right play makers....buy-in...more NIL donations.... blah blah blah....

I've had to really think about whether or not I was renewing my season tickets for the past 3 years. As this season has regressed into absolute crap coaching/play...this may be my last year. Way to expensive to see this crap with no improvement.
Honestly couldn’t blame you for not wanting to renew season tickets. Why pay, have to drive down there, only to be let down? I’m pissed off watching this crap without leaving the house! What a waste of 3 hrs of my life…of all Husker Foitball Fans lives!

Iowa

Woke up to see Iowa beat Wisconsin 42-10. Iowa changes offensive coordinators and has scored 38 points or more in five games. Meanwhile we have only scored over 38 points once. Iowa also rushed for 329 yards against Wisconsin.
And predictably, several of the experts on this board mocked Iowa for hiring Tim Lester. His name didn't show up as a hot OC hire in their Google searches.

A 2-5 team… we just lost to a 2-5 team.

Rhule definitely owns this as he hired Satt. But here is the question…does Satt know how to do anything else? So far, I’d venture no. I just think Satt is a one trick pony. How do you fix that other than fire him? And that’s the rub and where it lands on Rhule.
This is why I don’t understand the Satterfield hate as Rhule is the one who hired him. He’s the one that continues to enable repeated incompetence.

How bad is Raiola injury

Raiola is struggling, but the problems on offense are systemic. Teams are auto blitzing against certain formations and Satt has done nothing to counter that. There isn't a QB in the nation who will sit in the pocket and get hit hard on every pass attempt game after game. At some point, QBs go to plan B which for Raiola is spinning out of the pocket and throwing it out of bounds.
Agree our OC sucks, I’m more concerned with how DR doesn’t fire the football to wideouts, he always lofts the ball with touch throws that are under thrown a lot.

next year

what players should we put in now to gain experience for next year?
Coleman seems like one..what about the 3rd string qb?
Maybe I’m harder on Coleman than I need to be, but, I don’t ever seeing that kid doing anything in football, he was a talent who doesn’t have the heart for it. As a comparison, Barney is a freshman who came in and is our best wideout, mostly because you can tell that kid loves football. Makes a difference

How bad is Raiola injury

If he transfers good riddance, kid has talent but lacks some fire in his belly, also doesn’t know when to put some zip on the ball, you shouldn’t need to be coached that at this level

Light em up.

The sell out streak will continue. As long as its classified as a tax write off or business expense, there's a guy in Lincoln who will keep buying up all of the excess tickets.

Appearances have to be kept up. That's why the tunnel walk is still being played. It's the highlight of the day for any November home game. This program needs to strip away all of the perks, deal with reality, and fight their way out of it. But that will never happen.
yeah....I know that the chances of that fake streak ending is close to ZERO. They will always be able to find someone to buy them. However, it would be just as effective if there were massive amounts of empty seats in the "sold-out" game.
