Back to mediocrity. Look on the bright side, tickets will be cheap again for home games .
I remember certain people here saying we have to keep Tim Miles so that we don't lose Xavier Johnson.
Recruits don't want to play for Tim Miles. Kenya Hunter saved Miles' job this year by bringing in Palmer and Copeland and Gill. Maybe we should have just promoted Hunter to head coach.
What is % chance they come back? I say 20%

Disagree. I don't mind giving an extension so that"it looks good", but no way does he get to keep the golden parachute buy out. Miles hasn't proven that he needs to be here much longer. Moos inherited this dumpster fire. He'll fix it. Timing and person needs to be available. You don't replace a mediocre coach if you can't get what you want. There will be another chance. Patience. Mine is pretty thin.Good grief our athletic department is a dumpster fire right now. For the amount of money that is spent on athletics here, our ROI doesn't look very good. Volleyball is pretty much the only good major sport right now. Moos deserves some blame for how this basketball situation has played out. Either give Miles what he wants or can him. It's that simple and the cost of doing business.
No coach in his right mind is going to accept a token extension, "just so it looks good". Miles has already turned down at least 1 offer which was a minimal extension and I don't blame him. All you do is kick the can down the road. Either extend him with a solid offer or fire him. It's that simple.Disagree. The we were predicted 12th but finished 9th so that’s a success BS is looking to be in full motion.Just another excuse for the Miles' apologists when we don't break the 10 win barrier next year.
Tim Miles will never take Nebraska to any greater heights than this past season. Never.
I disagree. I think Hunter was a huge part of Husker basketball's recent success, but he wasn't tied to Miles. Moos could have extended Miles and Hunter was still going to jump at the next opportunity. If not this year, then next year. I don't think Miles' lack of job security was the primary factor.Good grief our athletic department is a dumpster fire right now. 22 wins, 4th in the Big 10, and a double bye in the conference tourney is hardly mediocre by nebraska standards. We won't be seeing those results any time soon .Back to, not sure we were ever anything but mediocre.
What are Miles options? Who has the stronger hand? Would an extension bring better results? I say stand still and do nothing. I don't want to give an extension and fire the guyy the next year. Use the money saved to get the guy you want next year.No coach in his right mind is going to accept a token extension, "just so it looks good". If that is the option, then just fire him now.W

Except Miles had an agreement with Hunter on a pay raise and Moos nixed it. He wanted 3 years instead of 2 and Moos said no.I disagree. Not if you can't get the guy you want. Wait and try again. I don't think our options are that good. Then you would have to give the new guy that you settled for how many years? I would wait.If that is the option, then just fire him now.
Are you his son? Brother? Dad? Why don’t you tell me when he’ll win his first conference title? In the next 5 years, maybe? Can you tell me the price of Gold at year end too? You should be monster rich.
Patience.I don't know what happened with the basketball situation. I don't know if Moos had a list of guys he wanted and they all told him no so he decided to let Miles go out there again next year. He or someone had to know Hunter would probably leave if something better came along. And they always come along. Miles doesn't keep assistants. Pretty sure Moos came in to fix football and I'd like to think that going forward he'll fix the other sports that need fixing. I don't believe Miles should have been retained without a decent extension. Who wants to play for and coach with a guy who might be out in a year? I'll agree that Moos has to share blame for the basketball situation. We could be looking at a team next year that loses 2 of it's best players and lost it's best recruit and recruiter. And we don't even know what the rest of the offseason holds. It's tough to see a bright outlook for Nebrasketball. And to go along with that, I'm interested to see if he touches baseball. I know injuries are hitting this team but man something there needs to change as well.
We've had patience. We've had losing seasons 4 out of the last 6 years despite record administrative and fan base support. We spent millions of dollars building a world class practice facility, one of the best home court venues in the conference and have nothing to show for it. Recruits can see the writing on the wall, this program is circling the drain.Patience.

Then Moos really wants Miles gone. That's how I read it.
