Worse sh!tshow: Miles or Riley?

I'll say for their last seasons equal, simply both teams have given up or the coaches have lost the teams
But I'll give Riley the edge because all he came for was a payday!!
Its tough. On the surface you say riley, but when you factor in the brand new bells and whistles, actual high talent and expectations based on actual players and not hype, Miles makes a serious push. You must also consider the expectation level. Miles just had to make the tourney 3 times in 7 years and he would still have a job.
That's an extremely tough call. Maybe Smiling Mike gets the edge due to decades of losing....and losing.....and losing.....
I swear that you could take five intramural guys who have never played together and just met, would be able to run a offensive scheme better than what NU ran in that first half. We were so bad that the cheer leaders could have played better. The stand around offense led to our stand around defense. Please, please start looking for a more knowable coach for these kids.
riley. think about the statuses of the two programs. no one will ever be as bad as riley was. an all time shitty coaching performance.
Smilin' Mike. He took a program that was winning 9 games to the bowels of College Football.
Timmay took an already shitty product and kept it shitty.

For one season, it's clear to me. Tim Miles. Went from conversation about whether or not the Sweet 16 was a high enough expectation for the team to, well, this....
Riley and its not even close. Miles at least gives a shimmer or hope every year. Riley went to 7-0 with the easiest schedule ever then let his true colors show for the remainder of his career.

Riley is like visiting the men's rest room at work after your boss has taken a dump. Miles is like walking past the dumpster at a fast food restaurant on a warm summer day. Both stink in their own special way.
Nod to Mike Riley for being a con man. When he accepted his “one last shot”, he really never left Corvallis. Miles truly tried, but the dude just isn’t good.
I suppose someone could argue Smilin Mike really tried too. If that is true, he brought a whole new level of ineptitude to college football.

Riley. Miles has some semblance of success with going to the tournament. Riley never got close to that.
Let's see....Riley took football and threw it in the dumpster in 3 years....Miles got Basketball climbing out of the dumpster but then they fell back in it almost every year like clock work for 7 years.....Riley was faster at destroying football...but Miles was more consistent.
Miles. Miles has total control.

Yeh, Riley really got a raw deal at Nebraska. No wonder he's been such a smashing success everywhere else, but failed miserably at NU.

Yeah, that's definitely the resume a program like Nebraska should be looking for. When a guy is the winningest coach in Oregon State history, who could have ever predicted that he would be such an abject disaster in Lincoln?

So what.. I’ll give Him credit for 2 GreyCup Championships but he sucked coaching San Diego 14-34 in 3 years and he was our worse Coach since Bill Jennings...
But none of it was Riley's fault!
And to show you what a nice guy he is, Riley is still close friends with that micromanaging AD who completely screwed him over and totally undermined his authority as HC. Now that's a forgiving soul if ever there was one.
