Wisconsin: My take on your division mate/future opponent

@ellobo

just predict that Nebraska will win every game ... it is OK to think the OSU game might be tight as long as you acknowledge that Nebraska will find a way to win down the stretch

also when ranking position groups things will go a lot smother if you just acquiesce that Nebraska has the top OL, QB, RB, WR, TE, DL, LB, DBs and special teams in the conference and then we can get on debating who has the second best position groupings

p.s. -- you can really grease the skids if somewhere in your initial post you acknowledge ...it can be with some degree of reluctance ..... that the 97 Nebraska team would have beaten the 97 Michigan team .... on second thought any perceived reluctance in admitting this might be interpreted as you thinking Michigan could win which will surely degrade into a multiple page thread that includes which players from those teams were on various NFL practice squads, Canadian teams, European rugby leagues, etc, etc

Look...my point in this is the guy I have been going back and forth with didn't know what he was talking about when it came to Michigan's personnel. His implication that Michigan didn't have the skill guys like NU is laughable. The point really shouldn't be to argue whose is better but I went there (by posting pre-season position rankings) to make the point that to say Michigan can't exploit the outside like NU means you are not paying attention (btw, the game winning TD came on 46yd TD)...and maybe it was something Wisky was doing that led to how the game unfolded?

The guy is also dead wrong about our scheme. Does Harbaugh like to shove the ball down a teams throat (when he can)? Sure he does but he also likes to spread you out 4 wide and attack you on the edge (when he can). Harbaugh is a former QB who is known, among coaching circles, for being one of the best at developing QBs. Why Harbaugh O's win is the flexibility and multiplicity...on one play he'll have two FBs in the backfield leading the TB...on the very next play he'll have an empty backfield with 5 wide. What he also does is adjust quickly in game and take what the D gives him. We started the game attacking the edge because that was what had been working for us (in prior games) when other teams were loading the box. However, Wisky must of watched the film because they came out trying to stop it which led to us having more room up the middle.

I gave the guy a chance to justify his opinions but all he has done is give opinions that not only he can't support but the opposite is easy to defend with actual facts.

Well the premise of your initial post and those thereafter was how NU would fare based off what was seen in your team's game. Not to be one of those 'get off our board guys', but NU fans don't exactly view Michigan as some elite team that NU strives to be. Hence, when Michigan is used as a benchmark for discussion the feedback is such. The sentiments would be the same if reversed. Fans are understandably like that.

I have simply never seen the need to go to an opponent's message board and post. I go read on occasion but have never felt the need to share my opinion with them. But that's just me.

Do watcha do

Didn't say you had bad skill position players. I said ours were just as good or better and that our coaching style lent its way to scoring more than 14 against wisconsin

I even said you had the better offense and better team

Honestly you seriously need to bloody relax. "Unsubstantiated" my ass im just too lazy to look for links and could care less about message board pissing contests.

I'm allowed an opinion saying husker players are just as good or better on a bloody husker message board.

It isn't like we don't have a guy who was 1st string all big ten in several publications last year, a former aa pr, or an nfl tight end or anything plus a couple other guys who will play on sunday. Oh wait...

Seriously... you're jumping at bogeymen here. I know you're good. I simply think your offense played conservative in one game which we won't have that luxury against the same team. The fact that we will most likely score more against that one team does not diminish your talent or offense.

Seriously get over yourself.
