We need this man.......

We'll shoot I hadn't heard that name brought up as a possible replacement for Mike Riley. I think we should give him a look at the very least. He seems to be doing very well and has connections here. I'd have never made the connection to him being a possible candidate, thanks for linking that!

You're welcome. Glad I could provide some info to you. I'm surprised you weren't aware that Frost is high on many people's list. You must be new to the board.

and Moos should do whatever it takes to get him here.

I read the story earlier this morning and realized that all of the reasons Frost would, or would not, come to NU are in that article!

That's why I posted it. I think it's a great article and also gives good incite into the type of coach and man that he has become. Makes me want him here even more.

I fear we will offer what we think the market bears for a coaching candidate with 2 years head coaching experience instead of what it will take to get him. We have a habit of being quite frugal.

Florida if they are in the running is a better job. Are we willing to offer +1-2 million of a Florida offer?

There are thousands of SF posts on here already. Everyone has already made up their minds about wether he would be a good coach here or not.

Don't think Scott is all that concerned about the money. TO is his mentor

If SF wants to come back home I'm confident Moos will pay him properly..

For one thing SF is going to want to pay his asst. coach handsomely and may not be asking for outrageous price especially at Nebraska..

Money shouldn't be a problem with Moos or SF if he wants too be our next Head Coach.

Is it really a better job? Recruiting is about all I can see that makes it a better job and that is certainly no guarantee to success. He'll be under just as much pressure at Florida as he would at Nebraska, probably even more to be honest. That and he'll be competing in the dirty ass SEC.

Local recruiting is literally the only advantage Florida offers.

LOL you say that like its no big deal.

BTW, don't know what you mean by "local recruiting" but the University of Florida successfully recruits many other prospect rich southern states (esp Georgia, Alabama) in addition to the entire state of Florida.

Can’t believe we forgot about Frost!!!

Campbell appears to be a great young coach, but I think we need to bring a coach in that is intimately familiar with what it was that made Husker football what it was in it's heyday.

We've tried coaches who came up outside the program and we have continued to decline. Given how loyal TO's assistants were and how long they stayed, there are very few options for coaches who have that unique perspective (basically Frost and Gill).

It's time to try to something different and truly embrace our history. Quit trying coaches who think they know what it is that made Husker football the blueblood program that it used to be and bring in someone who actually lived and breathed it. If we don't bring Frost back now, we may never have the opportunity to hire such a coach again.

Look I feel Frost would be a good coach, but reading that article made me think of Bo's "Us against the world" mentality. Fans booed him and he wrote em off. That mentality has no place here!

I would hope he has grown up enough to not make it personal. You can't lump a few 1000 idiots into a whole fan base. He comes here in 2018 he may gets some boos from a few idiots, because our schedule is ridiculous! That better not turn into a "You play for your team, coaches and family speech". That will not sit well with me!
