Well when you go from clapping to no clapping, in an entirely different offense, there tends to be confusion. It happens. Not used to the snap count? lol

So you are saying we haven't had a chance to win in our 4 losses? Riley has put this team of Walk-Ons and Waterboys within seconds of being 6-0.Good coaches do not have teams that lead the nation in penalties. Good coaches adapt their game plans to the players they have available to give them the greatest chance at success. Good coaches have good clock management. Riley is 62 years old so when is he going to learn this skill? All this talk about Mike being a good recruiter. Then why are the Beavers the youngest team in the Pac 12?
Why do you always have to include something about Bo? You make him out to be the boogie man. He's a long way away in Youngstown. When Mike is shown the door after maintaining a sub .500 record you guys are going to scream, "Bo's fault"
29-33 his last 5 years in Corvallis plus the 2-4 record at Nebraska = .456 That's not good coaching

Things I'll give you
1. Clock Management
2. Penalties
Things you are not right on
1. Recruiting(You have no idea on this and neither do I)
2. Yes a lot of our problems involve Bo, for multiple reasons.
3. Riley's age is irrelevant to anything
Now here is what I see...
We as a fan base need to shut the **** up. We are calling for a guys head after 6 games which all were winnable. On Saturday, I felt like someone ripped my damn heart out and stepped on it! Is that Riley's fault? No it isn't, he probably felt the same way only his heart was stabbed out of his chest by a bunch of fans that can't support a coach.
I'm not going to predict the future and say Riley will turn it around, or Riley will be fired by years end. What I'm going to do is sit back and cheer on my G**D*** team, because that is what they deserve. I am fan win or lose, and I am done judging.
I supported Bo until the very end, why because he was the F****** Head coach at my school, Nebraska, and I'm going to do the same for Riley. I want this team to fight and realize that there are a lot of fans out there like me!
That Feeling I had when Janovich scored that touchdown was amazing, and the feeling I had when the Wisconsin kicker kicked it through the uprights was gut wrenching. You know why, because I bleed husker red and I say we let this guy get a fair shot.
You can't fire a guy that is implementing a new system with new players. It has been 6 games and 30 injuries... give the f***ing guy a chance Geezus
I get get it but Michigan... but Michigan.... but Michigan... You know what I don't give a sh*t about michigan or what they are doing. I feel strongly that Riley can get it done and he will have my support until you A$$ clowns run him out of town.
Riley's age in not irrelevant . I documented every coach hired after the age of 60 and posted it on this board last summer. None of the coaches had winning records and most drastically declined after the third year on the job.
Recruiting: I don't think Nebraska would have ever traded their recruiting class for Mike's when he was at Oregon State. As I have written here before, if he is such a good recruiter why do the Beavers have the youngest roster in the Pac 12?
Mike was 29-33 the last 5 years at Oregon State. He was going through the motions of being a head coach. He was getting forced out. Portland sports radio was ripping him apart. I live in the Northwest and one of my brothers lives in Portland. The AD had already asked him to make staff changes. So Nebraska comes along and he grabs on to the lifeline with two hands. You are now a hoping a 62 year old tired coach will morph in a great coach. Good luck with that thought. I am going to root for the kids and hope Mike doesn't screw up Nebraska so bad we become SMU.
I'm not for sure on your documentation but I do know Bill Snyder came back to Kansas State at the age of 69 and has been doing quite well (consistently) in the big 12. And while not hired at Alabama at the age of 60, Nick Saban is 63, which most would profess as the best college football coach of the current era. If Pete Carroll was to go back to the college game I doubt anyone would hesitate to hire him either at the age of 64 despite your "statistics."
Someone has to be the youngest roster in the Pac 12... not saying its the case here but teams that get players drafted early also have young rosters. Have you looked into specifically why OSU's roster is so young? I have a hunch it has to do with taking chances on guys that they wouldn't take chances on in ordinary circumstances. Nonetheless not for sure if roster age is a reflection of poor recruiting... remember tOSU was pretty dang young last year (if my memory serves me correctly) and all they did was win a National Championship.
Yes we all know he struggled at OSU relative to nebraska standards... but not really considering what OSU is, actually quite successful. Everyone gets ripped on if they aren't winning (newsflash). Everyone wants to win too (newsflash)... not everyone can win though (again newsflash). Riley raised the standards and expectations at OSU and those expectations that he drove may have drove him out of the job... possibly. But it is still to early to say that Riley can't be a great coach, his circumstances haven't seemed to allow him to flourish (other than CFL). The only thing holding back this team is on the players and the upperclassmen. It is pretty easy to see that bo has left an impression on our upperclassmen that is going to take some time to get out of the program. It is also going to take some time for Riley and Langs to get used to the B1G and the inherent weather conditions here. They can't keep slinging the ball around the yard in windy conditions... maybe with POB but not Armstrong.
