I've been pleased for Darnold all season---however, he wasnt able to handle the game against the Lions and it affected his poise and confidence tonight. he held the ball way too long all game long. perhaps some different play calling and perhaps the receivers werent getting any separation. but with jefferson out there --jesus throw it to him if he is triple covered
Sucks, but makes for an easy decision.

They elevated Daniel Jones to active status for the playoffs. He is likely their contingency plan and I think the Giants are on the hook for much of his 2025 salary. I could see a scenario wher Jones wins the job and they keep Mac Carthy. Holding a clipboard with intermittent playing time is valuable experience that doesn’t destroy a young QB’s confidence and body.

every game seems the same. kick to the end zone normally without runback. throw a short pass. run off tackle. throw a short pass. rinse and repeat or punt. low scoring most of the time. dominant defense. young coaches holding their play chart over the mouth so nobody can read their lips. what the hell's up with that? tv shots of outrageously suited fans screaming like banshees. some getting-along chick on the sidelines telling us nothing important other than she still looks attractive and speaks the language. then it goes to the halftime show with a long-legged chick in a provocative outfit, obviously there for her foundation and nothing else, with some spent players or coaches again blabbering at us about nothing important. all surrounded by a jillion commercials about beer, cars, and drugs. i don't get the fascination anymore. but i've grown surly with age.
