Those wacky Sanders boys

Didn't Suh also step on some players faces and necks?
That seems like a colossal douche move too, right? Your words, not mine.

My point, again, is that sanders getting a speeding ticket is just not that big of a deal, the cop did not act like it was a big deal, sanders seemed respectful during the interaction.

Just doesn't seem like a huge deal.
Suh could have beat an NFL gm to death at the combine and he would have been drafted before where Shedeur was. Not many humans like Suh. Sheduer is nothing special from a NFL qb physical standpoint. He doesn't have the leeway of a Suh or Josh Allen. Doing stupid stuff right off the bat is going to hurt him.

You would have thought he learned his lesson in the draft when he dropped to where he got drafted . And I know nobody thinks he was a high draft pick to begin with. But the NY giants sent a private plane a week before the draft to Boulder for a workout and meeting. Nobody can convince me they weren’t still thinking of taking him with their first couple picks.

I think *you're missing the point that nobody who exhibited that behavior would ever be in position to be appointed CEO, and is thus a fortification of why the only person willing to take a chance on him was the same owner who had to have Manziel and Watson.

I think alot of the Sanders shit is overblown by people who don't like him and absolutely HATE his father. That said there is truth to what you said.

This all alone isn't that big of a deal to me. But along with everything else yes it does matter even if you actually liked the kid
Poor judgment...

That’s all I have been saying. If this is an isolated incident so be it dumb mistake and move on. But it is a cycle with sanders.

I agree!
I don't think sanders will even make it 3 seasons in the NFL

But we all speed, every single time we drive! Speeding is not really part of "the cycle"

Now...had he been a huge asshole to the cop and did the old "Do you know who I am?!?!" bit, THAT would be the cycle.

That’s crazy you drive 41 mph over the speed limit stay safe and don’t kill anyone
Just made a quick run to the store...

Speed limit is posted at 45...I was close to 55...and I was getting passed by more than a few drivers. So they were going over 60.

We should probably start another thread about all the speeders we see.

I can’t wait for fall practice to start so fans have something else to focus on.

Come on man up your game. To you going 41 over the speed limit no big deal. Going almost 10 over is child’s play

You’re right, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I do agree.

I do have a problem with the triple digit speed however… one wrong move on the highway could end either SS or another life… recovering from 65 mph is easier than 101 mph, in my opinion.

That said, when I was young, I got the old civic hatchback up to 90, so I probably shouldn’t talk.

If it’s a residential area going 66 in a 25 that’s a major issue. 106 in a 65. It’s a lot but if someone drives by you on I-80 you know they are doing over 100 and you think “wow they are going fast, they should slow down”, maybe you even say it out loud. What you aren’t doing is screaming that you are all about to die, because it really isn’t out of control.

Now secretly I always hope I come upon them in 5 miles and they are pulled over. But that’s just me.

I think your missing OPs point. If the want to be CEO was caught speeding even at this speed we wouldn’t be talking about it on a sports message board.

We wouldn’t even know it happened unless maybe we lived in the same city or locality. And the guy wouldn’t get the job most likely.

Not to mention you (as an owner/gm/coach/fan) kinda secretly love that your DT has that type of mentality. (mean streak, not the speeding/wreck thing) The capacity to step on someone’s neck after they play isn’t a trait you publicly or secretly look for in a starting QB. Especially a QB who doesn’t blow you away with his raw talent.

You could be right. Crazy thing is I think by seasons end he might be the best QB on the Browns roster lol.

While as a Steelers fan we could've had him in the 4th or 5th. It's gonna be so interesting to see his career play out.

Well, he got a ticket for speeding so he is done!

Without alcohol involved, it is really not all that bad. Second time is bad, and I find him insufferable.

If this has negative effect on him, too bad.

Reminds me of a joke.

A high school kid was speeding well above the speed limit. A trooper pulled the kid over and said, "I've been waiting for you all day long." The kid said,"Well, I got here as fast as I could."

Back in bout 1988?? I got caught doin north of a Hundy in my Firebird on my way to a Blue Oyster Cult concert in Kansas, somewhere....with 3 buds in it, and more open beer than we could hide, though we did our best...i got a verbal warning to slow down. Away we went. I miss the 80's.....cops apparently were not required to bust your dumb ass like they are now.

Without him being Prime's kid, would we even be talking about him? He wasn't a world beater, the whole offence was built around his stats and he was in a sh*t conference. The noise that elevated him also detracts when he Fs up at all. The "privilege" he was born with adds a huge target.
As I've said, now that we beat that Puff @ss, I DGAF.
That game was a good damn time.

Unless pops gets hired by an NFL team. Can’t imagine anyone being stupid enough to hire Deion, maybe the Cowboys? But if he gets an NFL job he’ll make Shaduer one of top paid QBs in the league.

You're an idiot if you habitually speed, and I'm sure your driving record reflects that.. Other drivers being more idiotic than yourself isn't relevant to that judgment.
Yeah, maybe it was luck he didn't hit anyone.

From your article:
Police reports stated Suh was driving between 25 and 30 mph.
Is there a follow-up article that shows Suh failed to show up for court on that citation? Did he did the exact same thing 11 days later?

Regardless, Suh was the greatest defender in college football history. He was worth the headache, as evidenced by his hall of fame contributions that were easy to anticipate when he was drafted.

Still very odd of you to try and throw the greatest Husker of the 21st century under the bus to defend the most obnoxious player of a hated rival's entire history.

Funny but true story. Suh cut me off on the South side of town back in the day. Think he was driving a range rover. I pulled up next to him ready to kick some ass. Then I saw who it was and decided to let him off the hook.:confused:Eek

No you did it for the good of the Nebraska Football Program…thank you for being a team player.

Did he drive after drinking again? Yeah, probably.

Do you not speed? I have two speeding tickets in 30 years of driving. Which I would guess is about average.

I am not trying to throw anyone under the bus, I am saying that these things are just not the huge deal our fans want them to be.

Did he drive after drinking again? Yeah, probably.
From your article:
Suh, 22, had been drinking but tested below the legal limit at .035.
You're ignoring the blatant difference in context and chalking both up to "welp just a driving incident which is no big deal cuz it happens everyday to normal people."

Everyone gets a mulligan on a minor infraction. You don't get a mulligan on failing to appear for court then doing the exact same thing days later. That is behavior exhibited by the absolute dregs of society. It indicates an inability to feel remorse or take accountability, which should be taken seriously when evaluating someone's character.

Do you not speed?
I don't, because I'm not 17 years old and treat the possibility of killing someone seriously and so should you.

I applaud you for always driving the speed limit! That is remarkable. Was the last time you went over the speed limit when you were 17?

And so we both agree, that he was drinking and driving? Which he admitted to.

And so we both agree that a drinking-age adult was under the legal limit? Which the cops admitted to.
Yes, of course.

Do you remember exactly the last time you were speeding? We know you were 17, how old are you now? How many years has it been since you went over the speed limit.

Yep, 17. 33 now, thanks for asking.

Your turn to respond to this:

Do you make a habit out of not showing up to court appearances? How many employees are you paying a meaningful salary that behave this way?

I have never had a court appearance but I would for sure show up. If I was super rich, I would have my lawyer show up in my place, if that was possible, I don't really know how that works.

I would not have a problem if one of my workers got a speeding ticket and then blew off the appearance if he/she was good at her job. In fact, I am not sure if I would even know about it unless they told me.

So, are you saying that you would like everyone on this site to believe that 16 years, you have not once gone over the speed limit? Do you want to stick with that or did you want to change your story a little bit? I have a feeling that next will be a post about how you "keep up with the flow of traffic", right?

Or is it that you really have not once gone over the speed limit in the last 16 years?

I mow my own lawn.

I see you are sticking to your "I have never once sped in the last 16 years" story.

While I believe you, 100%, I feel like other posters might think that by claiming you have not sped once in the last 16 years, that maybe they might think you are lying.

I have 1 speeding ticket in my 17 years of driving.

Are you saying that it is likely to happen much more frequently outside of of just the instance I was ticketed for it?

That would imply Shedeur is speeding on an almost constant basis, yet you said it's just a one (two) time thing, so no big deal.
