This Basketball Event is a Joke, Right?

The Big 10 has definitely treated us like shit. But so did the Big 12. The difference is a bunch of Big 12 members were supposed to be our friends. We also haven't lived up to our end. We were supposed to at least be good at football. We haven't been good at anything but volleyball. That's on us.
The B1G’s best sport is girls volleyball

Nope, he's just full of shit as always and can't handle he was called out, but since he likes moving the candle go ahead and apply that pre season to North Carolina, Kansas, and Kentucky about true road games.
Lol....called out for saying Duke rarely leaves Cameron on a Nebraska board..lol..then a poster backs it up with a stat.

Your argument is to admit I'm right by saying the same about other teams. Lmao..are you stupid or what?

You look like a clown right now...lol

It makes no difference. The Big 10 was the only choice. We are morally superior to the SEC so we weren't going to cheat enough to even begin to compete in the SEC. Staying in a fragile Big 12 clearly wasn't an option. Face it, we should be happy we landed where we did. There wasn't another good option.

Morally superior, so we joined the biggest bunch of disgusting sexual deviants in the history of organized college sports?

Would much rather my peers “cheat” on the field than get butt clapped in the shower by some old geezer who has the thumbs up (get it) from administration

Jfc

That wasn't known when Tom got us into the Big 10 so it doesn't matter. Nebraskan's are different then southern people. We didn't and still don't fit with people from Arkansas or Mississippi. Geographically or culturally. We do value education though, just like the Big 10.

I know it bothers you to be in the Big 10. It's not changing so being angry isn't going to do anything.

Who's making excuses? You are constantly whining about the Big 10. Get over it. We didn't have another choice.

I believe you're posting in the SEC 8 conference game schedule thread?

I also believe you just accused the SEC of cheating three posts ago, while in the same thread claiming the conference's objective dominance is a "narrative"?

I'm sure those statements are independent from the SEC/B1G's respective trophy cases Laughing

You're big on sources. Look up where Kentucky was worried they wouldn't make bowl games with that 9th conference game, so they voted against it. So yes, the SEC does make decisions to control the narrative that they are the best. You don't think ESPN will be crowing about how many bowl eligible teams the SEC has?

And what do mean accused? Are you now arguing the SEC doesn't have a long and storied history of cheating? I give you credit. You definitely play the role of likes to argue guy perfect.

don't forget the accusation that Southerners don't care about education

you asked who's making excuses

short answer: you

Oh God. This is getting awkward. Are you now going to claim that the SEC footprint is some kind of educational mecca? The educational powerhouses of Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky? The cluster with the lowest literacy rates in the country?

And then you'll probably argue Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska don't care about education.

You haven't asked for any sources yet. What's going on? Should we be worried?

as it pertains to our supposed moral high ground and football, I'll say this:

our history is much more closely aligned to the SEC's than our current conference peers with regards to allegations of cheating, allegations of putting education behind winning and, of course, actual on-field winning

what you and other B1G fans say about the SEC are exactly the same things we heard from loser B1G fans for 50 years & continue to hear today when our success is discussed

the irony is palpable

Huh? The team with the most academic All-American's fits in better with the conference that is regarded as maybe bottom of the pack for education? What allegations of cheating do we have? That TO played LP? We're we placed on probation that I don't know about?

I'm not sure if any team gets more publicity for educating student athletes then NU.

Absolutely. We are in a much better spot in the B1G than we would be if we stayed in the crap 12.

I would bet a majority of college football fans across the country - and certainly a large majority within the B1G footprint - would say Husker Power was fueled by steroids

if this is the first you're hearing about this, perhaps you need to get out more

I only hear this from Husker fans. Other people bring up LP and the fact we were able to make farm boys All-American lineman. Most people i talk just say they miss us being good. That CFB was better with us good.

I get out plenty. I've lived in 3 states other then Nebraska.

I’ll assure you most of them didn’t know that Nebraska was the first football program to have a weight program that Devaney agreed to allow Boyd Eppley to run it..

I agree with you, and it's not me claiming it.

but you know as well as any these accusations of "cheating" are and were leveled against NU by a majority of cfb fans across the country.

same with eschewing books for talent (still hear this from B1G fans).

You just can't handle that your post was full of shit (like the majority of yours) and now your butt hurt.
