Another guy chosen to be the next closest person to god.I'm not even religious.
Not a catholic but have been following this. I think it was a compromise. Picked a 🇺🇸 cardinal in hopes of putting money in the coffers but not reversing coarse on Francis. At his age he could be there for a long timeAnother guy chosen to be the next closest person to god.
Maybe he can focus on getting the Church to do Church things, stay out of politics and start arresting child molesters in their own ranks. But hey. I dream.
There is nothing they do that is not tied to money. Period. Not a catholic but have been following this. I think it was a compromise. Picked a 🇺🇸 cardinal in hopes of putting money in the coffers but not reversing coarse on Francis. At his age he could be there for a long time
What was his NIL money? There is nothing they do that is not tied to money. Period.
Can I sue the Church for trauma? He was selected in less time than Shadeur Sanders
Only if you were an altar boy.😒Can I sue the Church for trauma?

I’ve got a wonderful relationship with God. And I think the Vatican is corrupted beyond beliefThere is nothing they do that is not tied to money. Period.
As much as any goverment on earth.I’ve got a wonderful relationship with God. And I think the Vatican is corrupted beyond belief
Bill Callahan?Pissed off Euro Cardinals call the new pope a "****ing hillbilly".
Maybe not as much as O'Rourke enterprises. As much as any goverment on earth.
The united states churches are the largest donor to the Vatican. And the Vaticans finances aren't good. And guess who's giving has gone down considerably under Pope Francis?? I think the catholic church would like to scale back some of their recent woken essay but are nervous. The Vatican also needs to repair relationships with Americans. Pope Leo appears to be more aligned with Francis philosophically wise but hoping that he's American by birth, can be the compromise between the 2There is nothing they do that is not tied to money. Tend to agree. They've had and talked about tackling the administration part but no one's done it. Agree that Leo has best shot at tackling itnever know until they start making decisions. for example, liberal justice david souter was appointed to the scotus by president bush; john paul stevens by president ford.
from what i have heard about pope leo, he's likely going to be moderate with focus on administration needs of the body church. he will be cautious unlike pope francis who was often seen as flippant.
and there is still corruption and all kinds of garbage they refuse to address and clean up. It's pretty dam sad.The united states churches are the largest donor to the Vatican. there are 1.5 billion catholics around the world. that's ~20% of the world's population. they are not all saints. they are not all competent. the church is a vessel through which we practice our faith, not worship its clergy. throughout history there have been some truly awful popes. hopefully, leo is not one of them.and there is still corruption and all kinds of garbage they refuse to address and clean up. Actually he went to Villanova so it is Big East 1, B1G and SEC 0
SadI grew up in the Catholic Church. I now despise everything it represents. I am a staunch Bible believing Christian.
That said I read where Francis packed the cardinal court with his adherents and added more of them to the total. It appears to be a move to keep his programs going. Leo has already bashed Trump and Vance especially over emigration. Corruption has always been their hallmark and moto.
So is America. You and I cannot control the Vatican, but we are obligated by "government by the people, for the people" as American citizens to control elected officials that are more interested in corruption for personal wealth than "government by the people, for the people."I’ve got a wonderful relationship with God.
